Ok this really proves what a lousy gamer I am. I've spent hours trying to complete Ristar and I can't do it - even when using savestates!!!

Future Pinball is too demanding for my computer, i have no 3D accelerator in it. I've started to play PinMAME alot because of this thread though! It's awesome to be able to return to the games that I spent way to much money on back in the early 90s. My favourites at the moment are: Creature from the...

[Thinks about it] the first one i broke was a Tac-2 i got for my VIC 20 and that was simply a matter of it not responding to one direction about a week after i got it! i wasn't massively impressed, especially since all the reviews had led me to believe it was a robust stick... There must have been ...

When talking about Amiga Pinball games, Dreams/Fantasies/Illusions always gets mentioned but you shouldn't forget about Slam Tilt which is a truly excellent game and at least as good as "the big 3" I had never heard of this game until recently when I've read about it in retro forums like this one. ...

I remember my TAC-2 that I used with my A500 did become more and more unresponsive, it didn't break completely but it made some games nearly unplayable.

I then bought this little funky device:

Flight Path 737! That's the one, thank you so much! I like the comment about it at LemonAmiga: "Yes, this is Flight Path 737, Anco's vision of flight simulator, probably the shittiest game ever. I hope they did not sell this as a full price title. This is not worth of single penny. Rather, Anco shou...

Looking for an old Amiga flight sim

I am searching for an old flight sim that I had for the Amiga 500 back in the days. As I can recall you controlled some sort of passenger-plane (jumbo jet?). There were also a big mountain at the end of the runway so you had to rise very fast when taking off so you didn't crash. This is unfortunatel...

Civilization and Syndicate on the Amiga for me....lost loadsa hours of homework to those two. I remeber playing Colonization on the A1200 and suddenly realize that it was morning and I had to get to school. I had been playing the entire night and been so caught up in the game that I didn't notice t...

Last year I went to Disney World and to the DisneyQuest arcade. They had a much newer VR implementation featuring a game where you had to fly Aladdin's magic carpet. The image quality is much better than 15 years ago but that lag is still there. Both my wife and I felt really sick for the rest of t...

Using savestates while playing emulators

I don't know if this has been discussed previously, i did search for it but couldn't find anything. What about using savestates when playing old games with emulators, is it justifiable or is it cheating? When you played the game on the actual console/computer back in the days you didn't have that op...

I'm currently playing Baseball Advance for the GBA, and it's really addictive. The pitching and batting is pretty well executed and the gameplay is one of the better ones I've seen.

That's a bit rough don't you think? I've actually played some that I enjoy so. Sounds like you don't like baseball at all.

Best baseball game?

Ok I'm looking for a good baseball game for any retro console. I've tried some but the creators don't always seem to balance up the different game moments entertainment-wise. Sometimes the pitching is really boring, sometimes the batting etc..

What games did/do you play and what makes them good?

I'm using the Lemonade frontend from Lemon Amiga http://www.lemonamiga.com/?mainurl=http ... /lemonade/

I like it more than the GameBase.
