Re: Trade Feedback Thread (Mark 2)

+1 to jdanddiet. He did me a really good deal on a ps1 game that also arrived in very nice condition - a top seller :)

Re: Your favourite amiga brawler!

How about the slightly obscure scrolling brawler Motorhead. I've lucky enough to have a nice boxed copy of this as it's not easy to find, I bet not many ever played this one. Check out the vid link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UNmY1orcOco and here if you want to see a longplay (of this game and 1...

Re: PlayStation One Collectors Guide

Hogs of War is a must own for sure, but might be better in a different sort of guide. Perhaps a list like they do over on Racket Boy such as the best ps1 games that can be had for less than £5 for example. That would be an almighty great list too which certainly makes the ps1 a nice system to collec...

Re: PlayStation One Collectors Guide

Thanks for the info Mootown. I did kinda know that already though as I have a similar kind of chipped ps1 set up as well but was thinking the games on that list might also have a 60hz option as pal ps2 games usually do. That's why I was a bit surprised because I'd never heard of a PAL ps1 game havin...

Re: PlayStation One Collectors Guide

Yes that would be very handy if possible, thank you. I didn't even realise that there would be any games that played in 60hz, just thought some of them might be properly optimised for 50.

Re: PlayStation One Collectors Guide

Just come across this guide and I think it's great. I like that there are a lot of games in it as there are many decent games there that I was completely unaware of. Has actually encouraged me to start hunting down a few more titles for my own ps1 collection, thank you very much for taking the time ...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

I got 3 minty Jap megadrive games for peanuts on ebay last week. Langrisser (lovely box art) £3.11, Eternal Champions £2.40, Ka Ge Ki £3.71 all inclusive of postage! Nothing terribly rare but a few nice additions to the slowly growing Japanese Megadrive collection for very little money, got around 5...

Re: Erm really?!?

The Super Famicom version of this must be much rarer than the US NTSC and PAL versions then, actually I have never seen the SFC version of this before which probably explains the crazy price. I think I'll just stick with my non Japanese version of this then :D

Re: Recommend Me One C64 Game

Here is a slightly unusual recommendation that doesn't often get mentioned but I really enjoyed Citadel by Martin Walker. Some info (including a link to a 91% Zzap 64 review) on Lemon 64 here : http://www.lemon64.com/?mainurl=http%3A ... 3FID%3D493

Re: websites for speedruns/superplays (not the magazine)?

Somebody did scan in all the old Super Play magazines which fit onto a single dvd, but was prevented from selling them by the publisher :( Still, I managed to get one and might run off a copy for anyone who has any retro related tat to trade... doesn't have to be anything brilliant. I'm also only tw...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

I've been giving the Amiga some loving of late. Some of the slightly harder to find titles I got in the past weeks are - Wings, Lionheart, Turrican 3, Superfrog, Blood Money, Star Control, Shadow of the Beast 1 and 2 and I even got Woody's World (just try and find that one) for £3 not that long ago ...

Re: Dark Chronicle

If I remember rightly the PAL versions of Dark Cloud and Dark Chronicle were slow and bordered 50hz conversions, so it might be better to go for the US versions for the best experience if able to play them. Just mentioning it in case this bothers anyone and the US versions may well be found cheaper ...

Re: Packaging matters

These modern collector's editions (on 360 and ps3) often get on my nerves. I would consider myself a collector and so always like to get the collector's edition of a game that interests me. The Oblivion collector's edition was mentioned and that does look nice and I would like one, but as it is card...

Re: Mint/Near Mint Sega Saturn Games?

I would strongly agree with what has alredy been said and suggest that you go for Japanese Saturn games if you are looking to build up a nice minty collection. The cases and artwork are so much nicer and many of the best games didn't get PAL releases anyway. Why struggle to find minty PAL releases a...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

A little bit of shooter collecting for the Dreamcast for me. I managed to get the limited editions of DUX and Last Hope. So me and only 499 other people own the limited editions of these games :)
