No, but I am enjoying the argument and the "No, wait" thing grates.

It doesn't emphasise a point, it rather draws the emphasis away from the point and onto the poster who's indulging in a bit of one-upmanship.

Re: Is Nintendo about to make another massive mistake?

CraigGrannell, *please* stop doing that sarcastic "no, wait" thing.

It's just tedious. And rather arrogant.

While I've got fond memories of the 8-bit Rambo games, there really aren't enough titles to justify a feature (even if you include the PC text adventure game based on the second movie - see here ( http://www.mobygames.com/game/dos/rambo-first-blood-part-ii )... talk about an inappropriate tie-in!). ...

I prefer "PS1", but these days Sony refers to the original PlayStation as the "PS one" - just check the PSN store. So if we're to follow the official line, PS one it is.

How about the Official PlayStation Magazine giving The Phantom Menace game 9/10?

Hmmm. Nothing to do with having four different Star Wars covers that month eh?

I'm not fussed either way, but surely it's possible to fund a one-off covermount without cutting pages or raising the coverprice? Yes, magazines have strict budgets, but I'm almost certain that Imagine Publishing will have a general promotions budget to use across its portfolio. For example, this bu...

The Archie port of Last Ninja looks loads better than the 8/16-bit versions (go to http://lastninja.lemon64.com/dl_other2.htm and scroll down).

Anyone played it?

No worries, it was just my personal feelings about ye olde Tetris tale. I'm not trying to dictate what games get covered and which don't. RG is great as it is.

Re: Miner 2049er

My heart sunk when I saw Tetris on the next month page.

I love the game, but I'd much rather read about more underexposed stuff like Miner 2049er than a game that's been done to death elsewhere.

Hell, I've even seen a TV documentary on Tetris!

Retro Gamer as info source!

I've just found this website which includes a page about the creation of Tomb Raider and Lara Croft.

The page includes RG as a reference.

As wiki-style websites prefer to use print sources to back-up facts, I wonder how many times RG has been (or will be) used a reference?

Mastertronic was actually issue 1. Telecomsoft (firebird/silverbird etc) was issue 4.

Are you mad man? For me, DID is inevitably the highlight of each magazine, going right back to when it was first introduced. IMO no other RG writer comes close to matching Paul Drury's skill at telling a damn good tale that makes you smile.

Are you sure, Sureshot?

Didn't every issue - bar the first and last - of old RG have 116 pages? Or am i going mad?

Forgetting that about 2 people used it and it cost £1 and 16 pages of magazine to have it.
Didn't old RG have the same number of pages as new RG? :?
