Re: Microsoft Game Room
Strikes me that the comparisons here are against a preciously emulated standard and not the original source material, with so many versions of most roms available through emulation it is difficult to match the exact game that you played, the differences are minute, but if it was a game that saw a lo...

Re: Issue 73 feedback
Regarding the ColecoVision feature, Eric Bromley has since gotten his copy of the magazine and has emailed me with some points he wanted to make. He and Dave Johnson (the other ColecoVision chap I interviewed) obviously didn't see each other's replies before they were printed and Eric wanted to set...
Re: Micro Men
Absolutely loved it, great to see the old ads that peppered the show, not sure how embelished Sir Clive was, but I had no idea he was at all like that. If anyone missed it, Charlie Brookers gameswipe made up part of this season too, still on I player and incredibly funny and well made too.

Re: Video game crash feature?
The crash didnt really happen as is widely reported, it is better to think of it as a series of unfortunate events that were linked by their closeness in time. Atari made some awful commercial decisions for its business and home consoles, significant players like Phillips left the industry, intelliv...

Re: No disabilities in your magazine?
It does seem odd that game publishers seem to exlude rather than cater for as many as possible. Many games have the option for subtitiles though, hopefully that will continue, cant hear a thing in my house when the kids are at home ;) the resurgence of 3D poses a challenge for me and many others tha...

Re: like to see a feature on videogame inspired music
Had a play with notsofasto last night, great fun, its amazing how basic those tunes were, despite their catchiness.
anyone who may doubt how much fun this can be, check some of these out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgGqVzCsmsc

Re: Old Vs New: Resident Evil Again
Its up to 3 now. I was talking about this last night, 4 left me cold, but I adore 5, I have no explanation for this at all (although I always despised my Gamecube controller). In my opinion 5 is the best Resi since Code Veronica, which still stands head and shoulders above the rest. Although for me ...

Re: like to see a feature on videogame inspired music
Slightly related, there are loads of game guitar tabs floating around the usual tab sites, i know a lot of people dont think to look for them. Castlevania SOTN has some incredible runs in it, makes you apreciate it at a different level. Not trying to skew the topic btw. I think there would be room f...

Re: Inaccuracies?
Just to add to this, much of the information from these eras is muddied and shrouded in lore, intertnet misconceptions that have evolved from press miconceptions misrepresentations at the time, even the companies themselves didnt pay much heed to continuity, and few documented any development activi...

Re: History of Silent Hill Feature
Silent Hill and its development would indeed make a rather special feature. One of Konami's most internally disputed games series, the develpment was a bit like a Saturday night in Shepperds Glen. Its genesis was over 10 years ago so I would personally call it retro.

For anyone who hasnt read it, especially the conspiracy theorists, Andrew Smith's Moondust: In Search of the Men Who Fell to Earth is one of the most significant and certainly most inspirational books I have read. He speaks to the surviving astronauts, about the times they were part of the programme...
