Mass Destruction & NMS Software query
I realize Andy O'Neil was talked to briefly about his involvement with the PC version of Mass Destruction (rg103) but I would like to know if anyone recalls seeing (not in RG specifically) an article or discussion with the original Saturn and PS1 programmer for the game. This may very well Steve Dea...

Re: WTB: Dark Souls Prepare to Die PS3 version
Unless that has the Prepare to Die DLC on disc, I'm not quite interested. Thanks though.Treguard wrote:I've got a copy of the Premium Edition if you're interested;

As you may be aware the PS1 version is the ideal version. It runs with the least amount of slowdown, even less than arcade, and the game is better off for it. As pointed out the stage order is fixed on PS1 although I guess I didn't remember it changed depending on Japanese or US release. The initial...

Some good calls, but have to un-recommend Fallout 3 GOTY edition for you, it's a buggy mess and well known that the game kills your save at some random point in the DLC. It's perfect on xbox 360. Other Bethesda games are good, but again they're as you've said better played elsewhere. Aquanauts Holi...

The PS3 is a great system for many reasons but an important one is region free primary software. As such, outside excessive language barriers, no game is out of reach to the informed consumer. Europe has a nice cache of exclusive (non-North America) software such as Battle Fantasia, Siren Blood Curs...

Re: Games found in a consoles dvd drive
I've found Dark Cloud in a PS2 disc drive some years ago. More recently I learned a Wii I picked up in a thrift store had Super Mario Galaxy in the drive. Lastly, I've also found a HK silver boot of Auto Destruct in a modded PlayStation once.

Are you suggesting we only have new games in RG? :lol: Last I checked the title of the magazine is Retro Gamer, not Retro Games. :wink: I guess it's a case of semantics as normally I wouldn't use retro to describe old games, I think classic or vintage seems more clearly defined. I should clarify my...

Hitchcock's Psycho was on television last week and I decided to watch it. It's quite noteworthy for the shower scene with Janet Leigh but not much else and having said that I was surprised by the film as a whole, the ending was unexpected to be sure. Quite entertaining and a nice soundtrack to boot.
