Re: You Ask The Questions - Francois Lionet

I just want to show off (or shame myself) and say I wrote the amazing Eat A Log Simulator And Tetris Joe in AMOS. I think they are 2 of the worst games written in the langauge. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OxeaVC2DZ9Q I want to ask Francois what games were actually released professionally that w...

Re: You Ask The Questions - Francois Lionet

I would like to say thanks to Francois for creating AMOS for which I turn enjoyed many years creating my own games in. https://youtu.be/HhOIua21vvI When moving from Amiga Amos to PC Blitz Basic I was able to port my AMOS game Hard Streets to PC line by line so AMOS helped in learning a new programmi...

Re: Questions for Stoo Cambridge

So, the interview lasted 90 minutes and the transcript is 13,000 words... now to cram as much of the interesting stuff into the article... Looking forward to it, better to have too much that too little :) Yeah... although I have shrunk it down to 5300 words so far, there's plenty of the interesting...

Behind The Bits / Beyond The Bytes

This would be a 2-4 page article that would compliment Nick’s How To series. Behind The Bits or Beyond The Bytes would take a look behind one game of a particularly genre to explain its inner workings. Featuring an interview with an experienced programmer/producer and detailed screenshots. For examp...

Re: In the chair - Vincent Baillet

What machine was the lead for Turbo Cup and how did you go about programming the other versions.

Was there any challenging coding features needed for Turbo Cup and what is your favourite version?

Re: Has the Parodius series been covered?

No features for Twinbee but there is Developer Lookback for Konami in issues 53 & 54 that may cover Twinbee.

Twinkle Star Sprites is covered in issues 43 & 128.

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 192

I’ve always wondered why the “R” of “Gamer” on the front cover has a wobble on the r’s leg - doesn’t seem to match the font. The subscribers cover and gifts are not needed in my opinion as I am interested in the content, perhaps there is a sales boost when gifts are added?

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 191

Modulator MP1 was for 464 with the MP2 for 6128. MP2 has an additional 12v port to power the disk drive.

The MP3 was a tv tuner for the colour monitor.

Yeah 15 quid is pretty good value isn't it. I'd love to know why the 6128 one is twice the price mind?!
It also had to supply power for the 6128’s disk drive possibly.

Back to 80’s vs 90’s dual feature

“Back to 80’s vs 90’s” A 2 page feature based on the Back to’s that compares the current issue month of 80’s and 90’s. For example the left page would be December 80’s with the right page December 90’s. Nick would revist the original Back to’s to select a game or two to focus on for each decade toge...

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 190

Just now noticing that the movie chart has been added to the “Back to’s”. Nice addition, though a game chart had to be dropped to make space. Any way to fit three game charts, music and movie chart in?

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 190

The 100th Ultimate Guide this month is Vigilante.

From issue 200 onwards I would like to see the “old!” dropped from the cover.
