As i really do appreciate many more things in games nowadays, price of games, quality of graphics etc. Of course the classic 8 bit games had a ton of p...

Re: Number of lifes lost
There's been a fair few, but the stand-out ones; Elite (Speccy) Wipeout 2097 (PSX) Battlefield 2 & 2142 (PC) Just reaching about 250 hrs between Fallout 3 & New Vegas in recent months Syndicate (Amiga) lost a LOT of hours to that too! All of these are games you keep getting better at, as opposed to ...

Re: Cars, how do you own yours!!
I generally spend no more than 2-3k, and I want 3-5 years out of it at that rate. Only went above that once, 4.5k on a Pug 406 estate - booooring car, and kept breaking, was only a handful of years old at that! Currently in my 5th year of owning a 'R' reg Toyota MR2 and apart from tyres, brake pads ...

Nitro Ball. It's sort of Outzone/Commando meets pinball/obstacle course kind of thing. And Libble Rabble. The surround-baddies-using-string-and-pegs-em-up. Works best if you configure controls for dual analogue sticks. LOVING Nitro Ball! Need to get the twin sticks sorted as this would be great pla...

Dangun was already on my MAME faves list - must have been in the mag at some point? Regardless, fired it up again and it IS awesome!
Couldn't get on with Xexex, felt a bit stiff and sluggish tbh?

Less well-known MAME recommendations?
So I really enjoy 'The Unconverted' section in the mag, and every month I fire up MAME to check out less popular arcade games, good or bad! So it got me to thinking-what MAME games are your favourites that don't get a lot of attention, weren't converted to every platform going, that you think others...

Re: £600 per month for 5 years!
Ok, so I went to see my financial adviser today as its mortgage renewal time (yay). Anyway, we borrowed at this time 5 years go so we could do some renovations to and extend our house. The financial advisor strongly urged us to get a tracker but as we were close to our "limit" my wife insisted that...
