Re: Ebay is flooded with repros. Can anything be done?

I'm not condoning copywrite theft, but whare do you draw the line with 'worthless fakes' if I bough a Vectrex multicartridge from ebay for example, containing all the original games plus a lot of homebrew, that didn't violate any copywrites, would you call this a 'fake' cartridge because it isn't a ...

Re: Critiques of the RPG genre

What exactly are you looking for?
Critical reviews of RPG games, or critical reviews of the industry!?

I used to have a book called 'Dungeons and Desktops' that has a lot of information about both RGP games and the companys that made them. That may be of some help.

Re: Video game documentaries?

I liked 'From Bedrooms to Billions' but then I lived through that area in my youth ;) Some of the ones I quite liked are: Atari Game Over. Chasing Ghosts, Beyond The Arcade. Ecstasy of Order, The Tetris Masters. From Bedrooms to Billions. Get Lamp. Indie Game, The Movie. Man Vs Snake. Minecraft, The...

Re: TheC64!

I got one for Christmas, to address a few concerns... The keyboard is really good, and has the same feel, and click, of an original C64/VIC keyboard. The emulation (and especially the sound) speed is much better (a lot less lag) that that on the mini (and that goes for C64 and VIC 20 emulation) The ...

Popcorn, it's been used in a few games over the years but wasn't written for a game.

Pretty much looks like a bog standard electronics project box with an X stamped on it!
Could be anything, which may be the aesthetic they are going for.

Re: PS3 - retro??

I remember the threads asking if the PS1 was retro yet  At that time I had definite ideas of what was and wasn't 'RETRO.' Now its all a bit Meeeh... If you want it to be retro then why not  As far as what this thread is actually about goes, I've seen a trend of much more PS3 games going f...

Re: Which arcade game were you best at

Probably Bomb Jack, then phoenix. I must have put a lot of coins in those machines over the years. I relatively recently attended an event that had original 1980 arcade cabinets there, and after one go on Space Invaders I got a massively higher high score that the previous one. Although this has hap...

Re: This is the worst game I've ever played

Well can I give two? Well I'm going to, but I will explain... The game I was most disappointed with was Rampage for the 8bit Atari series. This game was obviously just quickly thrown together, and could have been so much better. And the cost of 8Bit disks wasn't cheep at that time ether! So this is ...

Re: Collectors needed

Wouldn't call it a collection but I've still got loads of old magazines pretty much all C&VG from the eighties, Atari User and Page Six, plus a lot of Crash and you're Sinclair, as well as some early commodore stuff and a few less know ones, all UK mags. I also had a lot of early PC gamer mags, but ...
