Re: doctor who: who is your doctor

I'm a huge fan of Doctor Who, have been since I discovered it sometime in the late 1970s, and my favourite Doctor is Colin Baker. Sadly, he has *by far* the worst quality stories on average, since at that point the BBC had a boss, Michael Grade, who publically admitted that he hated Doctor Who, and ...

How about an article about Goldeneye X, GE64, GE/PD hacking?

I think a good feature could be made about the game editing of the two N64 classics Goldeneye and Perfect Dark. There is a small but dedicated community devoted to hacking these two games, including such things as adding new single-player and multi-player levels to the games, to much larger projects...

Is there an overall index for all Retro Gamer articles etc?

Is there an overall index for all Retro Gamer articles, reviews, etc, please? Something that lists everything by magazine issue number and page? I know that there is the spreadsheet (http://www.retrogamer.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=23361) and a search function (http://www.starfieldsoftware.co.uk/...

Re: New alien game?

Really? An EXACT remake of the Jag version? Was it LIVE only or did it get a physical release? Assuming you're serious, no, it's little to do with the Jaguar version. Although Aliens: Colonial Marines aside, every first person AvP game has featured the same basic premise of three single player camp...

Re: What games have the best

I love (good) weather effects in a game, as they can really help bring the game world to life. Others have mentioned most of the games with good weather effects that I could mention (Read Dead Redemption, GTA V, Skyrim, etc), but I'd also say - Perfect Dark; the rain in the Chicago Streets level was...

Re: Official Issue 75 Feedback thread

Just received my issue - looking forward to reading it later.

One question though, where's the Perfect Dark article that was mentioned last issue?

I grew up with Tom Baker as the Doctor, and he was always my favourite, but I've voted for Colin Baker, as, since buying the videos in the mid-90's (after discovering the great Virgin published Doctor Who New/Missing Adventures) I've come to realise, now that I'm older and can apreciate more, that C...

The following are all great games (IMHO) that I'd love to see covered in Retrogamer: Brian Bloodaxe - ZX Spectrum, Fairlight - ZX Spectrum The Sentinel - ZX Spectrum (well, BBC first, then most computers of the day), 3D Deathchase - ZX Spectrum, The World is Not Enough - N64 (I've heard the PSX vers...

They're all good machines, but the Spectrum wins purely for the quality of the games, and the machines influence on the computer industry.
