If you'd said Metal gear Solid I'd have agreed
Then you'd be wrong as MGS is an excellent game.

Re: Has trading died?

It seems so.
A lot of the regular traders have left unfortunately.
It hasn't been updated for a while. I think Fire breather maintained the feedback scoring but that's been removed now.

Re: From The Forum issue 176 - Favourite football game

I played a LOT of the following........... Matchday (1 & 2) on the Spectrum Kevin Keegan (SNES) Sensible Soccer (Megadrive) and a few others on the Dreamcast, SNES. As retro as I can go.... Pro Evolution Soccer 2 (PS1) - still better than some current-gen efforts. As fun as the older games are, thei...

..... swearing......just feels out of place and completely out of character with the mag.
There have been many interviews in the mag which contained swearing. Uncensored at that.
It's not big or clever. Or edgy.
Think of the children!

Re: Retro Gamer - ISSUE 174.

Forum users have been warned in the past for circumventing the swear filter.
I guess, due to the latest cover, that it's now acceptable to add f**king swearing to posts?

This escalated somewhat when I was the admin of Retro Video Gamer forum and he was caught using multiple accounts with the intent to cause trouble.
And more lies.

Yes, something definitely smells fishy......and it's not you Crusty! :)

Oh, and we don't have any history as such. It's just that if you don't agree with him, you're a trouble maker/troll etc. etc......

Re: Project Hubbard (Rob Hubbard Kickstarter) is live!

Not looking to cause trouble. Just pointing out the obvious. it was actually my video that brought the issue up and after several chats with Rob himself and some checks of his diary it was discovered it wasn't him and Elite (the publishers) had wrongly attributed it (hence Atari Mania's listing) I b...

Re: Project Hubbard (Rob Hubbard Kickstarter) is live!

It was listed on Atari Mania as being his. It has since been discovered that it isn't and Atari Mania were asked to correct the database. I think it's discussed in the comments. TBF, if it's your video then it's you're responsible for the accuaracy of the content. Not Atari Mania. It's like copying...

Re: the Hi-Fi thread

I'm not sure it is anything special.
I bought a new Denon amp but I just like the look of the Panasonic and it still works after 35 years .
I still have the matching tuner but the cassette player is dead (probably fixable) and I have no recollection as to what happened to the turntable!

Re: Retro Gamer issue 173

Just got off the phone to distribution about this. Everything was sent out at the usual dates etc. so there shouldn't be any late deliveries to shops. I don't doubt it but something else must have went wrong somewhere along the line. It didn't appear in any WHSmith's/Tesco or ASDA (5 different shop...

Re: Retro Gamer issue 173

Got my copy (173) of RG - or Official Nintendo Magazine! :) It was only just delivered to WHSmiths. The guy in store said that he thought they were waiting until all previous copies were shifted before sending out the current issue and that they'd never had such a late delivery. Any truth? Nothing m...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

For a while, I had been trying to get a JAP Atari 2800 but prices were a bit too steep.
So I picked up the US equivalent, the Sears Video Arcade II.
It better work!
