Re: Subscriptions magazine cover options
I'm not a fan of the subscriber cover either. I'm in 2 minds wether to cancel my subscription and just buy it in the shops. The reason? When I'm looking for an old aricle I look on the cover first to see if it's listed on there. The subscriber cover has no text at all so trying to find the right mag...

Re: From the Forum - Issue 204: The Nostalgia Effect
One of the good things about playing old games you played a s kid is that they look and sound EXACTLY the same as they did when you first played them. Old comics go brown and brittle. Books get dirty and creased. Computer games don't change with age!

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 192
Yes. I've been writing it for the last 2 years. Over 150,000 words so far though it's not from the 1st chapter. It starts right at the beginning & illustrates how what did in our spare time as children changed when we got our 1st computers. The bulk of it covers 1984 to the early 90s and also covers...

Re: From the forum: 192
Easily Wizball on the C64. Even though I converted the graphics for the Spectrum version (a pale and unfinsihed imitaion) I didn't appreciate just how good a game it was until around 10 years ago. Whenever I turn my C64 on I inevitably end up playing Wizball every time. People complained about contr...

Re: From The Forum issue 172 - ZX Spectrum Anniversary
After years of just using emulation I now have a permanent Spectrum +2 set up next to the old CRT TV that has a DIVMMC Future attached to it. I use that more now than an emulator. There's something about the slight fuzziness the TV adds to the graphics that makes the experience more genuine. The dis...

I can't read half the Imagine article in my copy of the mag. Some pages ok but others have a darker blue background and all the white text is blurred. Like looking at it without glasses on

Re: 35th anniversary of some memorable films

'Poltergeist' – Tobe Hooper, 4 June. 'E.T. the Extra Terrestrial' – Steven Spielberg, 11 June. 'The Thing' – John Carpenter, 25 June....

Re: Robin of Sherwood(old ITV series)
For the blu-rays they went back to the original film and while not quite HD they look better than they ever did in the 1980s on the TV. They look like they were filmed yesterday and the amount of detial visible is much better than most other TV shows from that era

Re: From The Forum issue 166 - First Amiga Encounters
I'd already seen a Amiga but it was running some of those early games that didn't really look all that great. It was when I was working in a computer shop in 1989 and we had a delivery of about 20 of those huge long boxes containing 'Shadow of the Beast' with the t-shirt in them. I think they retail...
