What are your thoughts on this? On the one hand it is cheating. On the other hand - most of these games would have had quick saves put in if the memory had been around - so it is one of the lesser forms of cheating IMO. I am playing Super Metroid through at the moment on the XBox - and the save sys...

I have a truly odd one. I was playing Ultima 7 the Serpent Isle - and the game was dragging. I was looking forward to retrieving an item called the Flux Analyser or something to repair the Avatars Black Sword (which gets damaged earlier in the game). One evening - I was messing around with the cheat...

I seem to remember when it was released the 486DX266 was the fastest processor - and couldn't cope with it properly (which didn't help).

But yes - the controls were pants.

The citadel would have been ok if they had taken out the stupid rescue characters in the dungeon section.

It did have a feeling of epic-ness that was pretty cool.

I thought the tape version of Beach Head 2 was atrocious - the number of men you rescued didn't carry through from level to level!
