Re: TheC64!

I got multi disks to work, you do it via the 'classic mode'. Swapping discs is easy bring up the menu button, access the flash drive and swap disks.

I've still had to make CJM files to turn on true drive emulation to get some games to load. Platoon was one of those games.

Re: TheC64!

The '8-bit Guy' has a review on his channel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kxx2F4ffmeE I'm impressed with mine, I never owned the Mini so a full size model was a no brainer for me. As well as opening it up, he also tests the latency using a program he wrote on a real Commodore 64 on TheC64, which r...

Re: TheC64!

I've got my 'TheC64' It's great. The built quality is excellent. My concerns about the keyboard were unfounded it's rather good, not quite as good as a real Breadbin original C64, but pretty close. The included games are okay, but the real beauty is loading your own. And it's a sinch on TheC64, just...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Tempted to buy Luigi's Mansion 3. It looks adorable and Digital Foundry were quite fond of it from a technical perspective.

Re: TheC64!

Might be worth clarifying here: when I say the C64 is marketed as a fully functional computer, that's clearly my take on it. Basically because of the inclusion of a full keyboard. Mostly, what I'm worried about is the build quality of the case. It's tempting to slap down a pre-order right away, but...

Re: TheC64!

But for the price, I actually wonder how good it'll be. £110.00 seems awfully cheap for what's being marketed as a fully functional computer. It's cheap because the hardware making up the unit is cheap. The motherboard and SOC that powers the C64 mini has less processing power, and a quarter of the...

TheC64!

Hi folks, We've had the C64 mini and it's not half bad, but December sees the launch of its big brother, 'TheC64' The same as the mini console but now full size, with a working keyboard. Now as far as the mini console craze has been of late, I've not really been bothered, after all, there's emulatio...

Re: Modding a PSP 1000?

To put Ridge Racer on the PSP I used a program called 'PSX2PSP'. It can create an EBOOT.PBP file that the PSP can read. The file I made for Ridge Racer is 397MB, so it must contain the CD-Audio, right?

Re: Modding a PSP 1000?

Quick question. I tested out Ridge Racer PS1 game. I converted it to a PBP file and put it in a folder. The game loads and has all the game sounds, but no music plays. What did I do wrong? Did I miss something when I converted it?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Modding a PSP 1000?

Success. PSP modded, games installed. All working. Only Outrun C2C had saving issues. The only way to fix was to move my save file over from my ppsspp PC emulator over. It kept saying I don't have enough memory to save otherwise. Everything else works fine so far. Not tried any other emulators yet.

I've ordered the Memory Stick adaptor and I've already got a 64GB Micro SD card. Should be good to go tomorrow.

Re: Modding a PSP 1000?

Awesome. So, I was thinking of getting a Memory Stick Duo adaptor, like this one https://tinyurl.com/y452kynq and use a standard Micro SD card with the adaptor? Would that do the trick? Far more interested in PSP and PS1 games than emulating other systems. My Galaxy Tab S4 can do other systems reall...

Modding a PSP 1000?

Hi folks, I was rummaging around in some draws and I came across my old PSP, a PSP 1000 original Japanese 2004 import no less. The last time I recall using this was probably 2010-11, after which was put away in the draw and not turned on again until today, and that was only because I found the A/C a...
