Re: Anybody here tried the PS3 emulator RPCS3?

Have you tried Tekken 6 and Soul Calibur IV? These played pretty much flawlessly at 4K

Re: Anybody here tried the PS3 emulator RPCS3?

I've been using this more over the past few days and have had quite a lot of success so far. What prompted me to try it was my love for Ridge Racer. I've been playing the 60fps Ridge Racer on PSX emulator on Retroarch and that was pretty cool, and the PlayStation portable emulator of Ridge Racer 2 r...

Anybody here tried the PS3 emulator RPCS3?

Having finally built myself a new more powerful PC recently, I've been emulating lots of machines. I finally got round to trying out PS3 emulation. I must say, I'm amazed by well this emulator runs the games that it can so far. The emulation seems better than the PS2 emu PCSX2, and as I understand i...

Re: Bandersnatch on Netflix

Watched it last night. Not seen all of it yet though. Never played an interactive streamed film before. Pretty clever.

Re: Mega Drive Mini

DF Retro has just released a fantastic video of the Analogue Mega SG console here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ZCQ6kN9Ie0 A test was done with a custom ROM to check the VDP hardware on the SG. It passed with flying colours, a large number of these tests fail on emulators. As far as the VDP test...

Re: Mega Drive Mini

If I was to get one of these, it would have to have a working cartridge port, don't think this one has? Far more interested in that new FPGA based Sega SG console, it's twice as much as the Mini but pretty authentic to the original hardware. Doesn't run 32X, but you can plug this one into a real Seg...

Re: Android handhelds

On my Samsung S8 I've got a USB C Hub with its built in HDMI and two USB ports. I hook up the phone to the USB C port, plug in the USB C power, attach my USB controller and HDMI and I can play emulators on any HDTV or monitor in the home. I can even play Android games from the Play store through the...

Retroarch setup for C64?

Hi, Been looking at a few emulators this week, had a look at RetroArch. Great emulator, or at least it is with Mega Drive, Snes, PSX games. However, I'm not sure how to set it up correctly for an controller, more specifically, is it possible to set up to emulate the space bar as a button on the cont...

EMU VR!

Hi guys How about if you could play your emulators in a Virtual bedroom? I've just done this via VREMU http://www.emuvr.net/ The latest Sega Mega Drive Classics collection has a similar set-up. Only thing is, on that one you can't walk around the room, this Emu lets you do that. You don't need a VR ...

Re: Mame Advice please

The download was from the Archive.org, not sure if that was the best place to go now, ha ha. I think the Rom set I got might not be complete though. There are few comments about issues on with the download being corrupt. Mine wasn't corrupt, but the site says the download is 58GB, but my completed do...

Re: Mame Advice please

The rom set I've got doesn't seem to be working. I believe it's a merged set, with the roms self contained with the Clones built in, it's 0.197. However, despite trying some games on MAME 0.197, some aren't working. Opwolf doesn't work, but it works in MAME 0.177, same with gaunlet which is really o...

Re: Mame Advice please

Thanks for all that. I'll have another go. With the Child/parent thing, do I name the completed file the parent name or the child name? Also, do i just put the files into the other zip file, or does it need to go in there as a zip, like a zip within a zip, do they need to be inside folders - with th...

Re: Mame Advice please

I tried 0.197, still ended up with over a 1000 useless roms. Just for an experiment I tried manually with the games I really wanted, the big hitters from the 80's, the ones I remember playing. Everything went fine until I tried Operation Wolf which was the only one out of the 20 I did that didn't wo...

Re: Mame Advice please

I think I've reached the conclusion that it might just be easier to do it manually lol. I mean how the heck am I going to find time to play all of those games, I'm interested in about 100 of them and that's it.
