Oh yes! I remember the days of playing FFVII when it was affordable for all gamers to play. When recently trying to pick up a copy at my local independent video game store, I was shocked to find a copy for $45. Yucky!

Best Original Gameboy RPG (from three most popular series)

Please choose your favorite Original Gameboy RPG on the poll. My guess for the winner would be one or both of the original Pokemon games.

Thanks in advance for voting!

My name is Jeremy Light. I've been married for 2.5 years and have two cats: one Siamese and one Burmese. We live in the Loring Park area of downtown Minneapolis, MN, USA. The most high powered console I have enjoyed playing in the past fourteen years (of pretty dedicated retro gaming) would have to ...

Has there been a BEST OF 8-BIT & 16-BIT RPG'S Issue?

I'm an american who's new to the mag, so I'm not sure what's already been covered (and I don't have the $12-$20 each issue goes for in the US to buy the whole back catalog). So I'll ask again... Has there been a BEST OF 8-BIT & 16-BIT RPG'S Issue?

The article about the Pokemon (gameboy) creator was quite interesting.

The Street Fighter flow chart was amazing! I've never seen anything like it.

I was especially impressed by the Megadrive/Genesis games featured (I was like \"Zombies Ate My Freaking Neighbors\" oh my god!).

I only play vintage games...

Sega Genesis : Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse (sounds corny but actually seriously kicks ass, great synth music!) Mickey Mania! a rediculously cool platformer that loosely follows the plot of a few ultra-vintage Disney movies (from as early as the 1930's). Phantasy Star III Phantasy Star ...

Is battery backup the only backup that Sega Genesis/Megadrive cartridges feature? If not, what are the other types? Every game that I have recently replaced (lost original collection) has a working backup (I play only RPGS (and Super Street Fighter 2). P.S. I'm just a game-playing nerd. I obviously ...

Thanks! We just got this magazine in my part of the world. I should've known better. I'm a bit behind! I'm sure that article is rad. Now I need to find a back issue on eBay.

I appreciate your response,

Why not have a Phantasy Star saga issue?

We all know Phantasy Star II is to the vintage RPG world as Street Fighter II is to the vintage fighting world.

Star Trek TNG: Echoes for Sega Genesis...

Is unbelievably rad because of it's complexity. I really can't see a young kid picking it up and getting really excited (like when first playing Sonic, for instance), but I just got it (for the first time) this week and it's a great for geek out sessions (and the Atari-style ship battles).
