I personally prefer the way a Lynx I fits in my hands (solely for sentimental reasons - I bought the Lynx the week it was released), but there are some real advantages to the Lynx II... One of the most significant ones is that if you use NiMH rechargeable batteries in your Lynx (as I do) they seem t...

Killbot's right, there has always been a huge difference between JRPGs and the western equivalent. If anything, JRPGs in my opinion are easier now than they were on the SNES and consoles before that. Look at some of the Final Fantasy remakes... the very first one on the NES is harder than the remak...

Re: Atari Lynx= the best handheld system of it's generation.
I bought a Lynx the week they arrived in my city, and it remains one of my fave systems to this day. I currently own at least three Lynx I systems and a pair of Lynx IIs, and we have the lion's share of the available games, many of which are quite good, but it never really seemed to stand much of a ...

I am probably getting myself a reputation as a miserable old gamer, but I really don't like the N64. 2nd most overrated console after the Saturn. I concur... I liked Wave Race and Blast Corps on the system... That was it... Both Zeldas, Golden Eye and Mario 64 gave me motion sickness, as did a numb...

Devil's Crush if you like fantasy pinball - it's legendary and for good reason; it's the game that spends the most time in my TurboExpress to this day... Gate of Thunder is my absolute favorite Turbo shooter, and one of my fave shooters of all time - it has a great weapons system and some beautiful ...

I'd welcome a PSP2 with dual analog thumb sticks and some form factor tweaks that is fully backwardly compatible with the original PSP. Maybe they could lock it down tight and do away with the UMD all together, perhaps sell an inexpensive UMD reader add-on that could transfer PSP games to the PSP2's...

We've a nice 32" Sony Trinitron, about five years old, picked it up recently for $75... The new LCD craze has resulted in some spectacular deals on used CRTs in my town over the last year or so... Saw a 36" Toshiba TheatreWide CRT sell for $125 the other day!! It's a beautiful TV (if a little heavy ...

I'm up to 271 PSP games, and that is by far the largest collection in our house... I'm just totally hooked on this little "underdog" (compared to the DS!) handheld... We've got fairly large collections of GB/GBA, PSX, GC and PS2 games as well (over 100 each) and healthy collections of NES, SNES, Gen...

Definitely don't be afraid to open her up... They're a lot easier to work on than today's handhelds - there's lots and lots of space inside those cases... If cleaning the D-Pad doesn't work, you can try grabbing the membrane and other bits out of your Lynx II with the busted B buttons and replace th...

I went to see my girlfriends family and we were playing on her brothers 360, the dog came in all excited and wagging its tail and knocked over the xbox which knackered it. Her brother was in a state of shock - it would have been a dead dog if it had been mine. Oh ya, that's perfectly reasonable res...

Not really. You wouldn't buy a car if you could only use it by phoning Ford for permission every time and were only allowed to replace 5 tyres before it stopped working completely. Actually, I might... If the car cost pocket change and I only expected to drive it around for a couple months before m...
