Ive got a Pipo S3 (cheap £80 chinese tablet) which has a dual core processor & quad core gfx processor. battery life is bit crap (2-3 hours) but Ive got mame on it which plays great - Especially Operation Wolf as the version of mame Ive got supports tapping screen to simulate light gun.

Floella Benjamin was one of my earlier memories in play school so I am delighted
she now regulary pops up on Cbeebies bedtime stories (I have an 18 month old girl so watching it is now part of my nightly routine)

Re: Video Game High School
Ive watched two episodes now and its really good.
I kind of feel bit guilty for liking it though as its clearly not aimed at my demographic (Im on the wrong side of 40)
Target audience = 9-13yo americans?

All (and not just game) shops are the same really... They all require the employee too... Greet the customer as soon as they come in. (happy face and ask if they want any help - I hate this personally) Suggestive Selling (that game sounds great through these headphones that we have here that just ha...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??
Bought 20 batteries all the way from Canada and soldered them into and fixed 9 original Gameboy Pokemon games so far. At the bootfair at the weekend I got a black xbox 360 console with 3 controllers and 120gig hard drive for £5 ! - Dad was selling it for his son who was still at home in bed. Im stil...

Re: Handheld N64 on the bay
I dont think it will sell as he is only posting to UK. If he posted it worldwide then I think he would have a lot better chance of selling it. Ive just listed the most expensive item Ive ever attempted to sell on the bay (a boxed sega multi-mega at £380) and within first few hours of listing Ive had...

Re: Humble Origin Bundle!!!
Thanks for the tips re the Origin software.. Have bought this bundle mainly for Battlefield 3 although Im a bit disappointed that there doesnt seem to be a way of playing a private game with just my friends (unless you hire a server?) I see on Origin that Battlefield 1942 is completely free to downl...

One thing you really have to ask yourself. what happens say if the company behind steam goes bust?
(it could happen - especially as they are now starting to dabble with hardware)

Re: Really stupid Mega CD question...
I had exactly same problem few years ago.. Couldnt remeber what I did to fix it though so a quick bit of googling reveals this advice: after the Sega CD boots up to the Sega CD splash screen hit RESET the console will reboot and the tray will open. Here is the clencher though. hit the START button o...

Re: 8 bit query:Is resolution more important to you than col
Resolution definitely. Compare Head over Heels on the Amstrad PCW to other versions. Due to the monitor having twice
as much resolution as the 'gaming' 8-bits. you could see a lot more on screen

Re: stumbling across extremely valuable games
I know what you mean. One stall I went to yesterday had a Dreamcast (boxed) for £40. An Amiga A500+ for £45. and Monkey Island for Amiga (£25!). Needless to say I didnt buy anything from there. Next stall down had an N64 with 25 games for £30 so I snapped that up
