Xbox 360 Modem Recommendations?

I finally got my 360 yesterday and really want to get online with it. I'm going to go for the external ethernet modem approach as I'm not bothered about using my PC at the same time. Can anyone offer a recommendation with regard to a reliable modem? I've surfed the net but I'm new to online gaming a...

A Superman game for the C64 by Beyond software. It was terrible. And Elektraglide for the same machine.

Final Fantasy VII...at first, but it did grow on me eventually.

Body Harvest on the N64 - I was expecting Starship Troopers but got the worst graphics that I'd seen on the machine

Merry Christmas from Melbourne House - for the C64 from C&VG.

Great graphics...but very brief!

Re:

Most games on the DS, for sure. There's a company (Nintendo) that still understands that games are supposed to be FUN, not chores. I also agree with OutRun 2, which was excellent, far outshining the original, yet retaining the pick-up-and-play arcade game feel. Hear! Hear! Mario Kart DS is the only...

What was the name of the game on the Quickshot joystick box? I vaguely remember it looking like some kind of side scroller a la scramble style...Perhaps it was only a mock up???

Nonetheless me and my mates were pretty impressed in 1984. Does anyone else remember the screenshot on the box?

Re:

Sir Clive, it was Nemesis The Warlock. Best game deaths - Dragon's Lair - Dirk's body turing to a skeleton. Saw it enough fecking times too;) Gorf saying "Bite Stardust, Space Cadet", obviously, with perhaps a laugh afterwards. Mortal Kombat (one) - I think it was Scoprion who actually removed his ...

Just thought of another - Beach Head on the C64. The first time I saw those planes flying overhead made a bit of an impression.

V by Ocean for the C64, based on the TV sci-fi series. I just couldn't get beyond the first level.

I always found Elektraglide on the C64 pretty tough (and hugely overrated too).

I think I've always found Defender hard regardless of the format.

I didn't put a great deal on flash carts in the piece, because I wanted to concentrate on the games/emulators. However, here's a quick overview. A flash cart is essentially a standard GBA-sized cart, but with writeable memory. You use a client on your PC to send ROMs to the cart, either directly to...

GBA/DS Flashcarts

In this month's Retrogamer there's a page given over to GBA Emulator Games. I don't really know anything about flashcarts but the four games covered in the mag. have got me interested. Can anyone recommend a site which not only offers the carts to buy, but also gives some info. on what they are/how ...

Do you remember any game giveaways exclusive to magazines?

In another post I mentioned 'Merry Christmas from Melbourne House' - a free giveaway with C&VG one Christmas past. I also remember getting some Thompson Twins game on vinyl but it didn't work because it was scratched to death. I think the Melbourne House game was pretty good. Anyone remember any oth...
