Re: What publisher will be next?

A guy on the Something Awful forums has plucked a bunch of images from the directories of the PC version, and it shows banners for the first 6 game packs. The only publishers included for those are Activision, Atari, Konami and Intellivision.

Re: Favourite Game Room game

Gravitar. It just so happens that Game Room launched with my all-time favourite arcade game.

So, it's all downhill from here

Re: What publisher will be next?

Well, it had better be Taito and Namco next. I mean, that's arcade gaming right there as far as I'm concerned. They kicked it off nicely with the Atari stuff, but you can't go very far without adding Space Invaders and Galaxian/Galaga etc to the mix. It just wouldn't be right!

Re: Game Room Club

I'd love to get involved in these challenges (for any games I like enough to buy  )

I'll add everyone above me, my Gamertag is Swabbleflange.

So far I've bought:

Gravitar
Lunar Lander
Asteroids Deluxe
Finalizer
Jungler
Road Fighter
Tempest

Re: From the Forum question for issue 73

Sabre Wulf has a special place in my heart as the first Speccy game I bought. I was never any good at it though

They seem to be incredibly difficult to track down or even find info on. I had them all back in the day (there were four in total) and having gotten rid of them many years ago I've since been on an occasional quest to reacquire them, to no avail. The title is correct. They were specials put out by C...

Sounds like one of the 'Complete Guide To Consoles' volumes that C+VG/Mean Machines put out back in the day. I think the third one was blue.

Loads :(

In the midst of Yakuza 2, Red Alert 3 and Valkyria Chronicles as well as my usual doses of Rock Band 2 and a smattering of XBLA and MAME stuff.

Started The Last Remnant and Sacred 2 yesterday, and Persona 4 today. Because I like to have a few short games on the go at once, y'see.

Probably Megadrive as a unified standard. It's always nice to see a collection of good condition MD cases lines up. Other than that I'm just a fan of the mishmash of boxes we got on home computer games throughout the 80s and 90s, with the Infocom 'grey box' games being high on the list, and those sl...

Tomb Raider Underworld on PC. Enjoyable but felt quite incomplete (not in a story sense, but it seems to lack a final polish on bugs and glitches).

Tomb Raider Underworld, Neverwinter Nights: Storm of Zehir, Rock Band 2, and Guitar Hero World Tour emptied my wallet this week. Apart from Persona 4 on preorder from the USA that's it for me in terms of games until... probably Street Fighter 4 in February.

I did this last year: Link Because of the funny structure of blogs you have to scroll to the bottom of each page then click the 'newer posts' link. It's all backwards too, because of the order posted. But hey, they're all there. Alternatively, expanding the August 2007 entries on the archive to the ...

Fable 2 is the best advert for installation. Running from the disc is a horrendously noisy experience - it essentially loads constantly because of the amount of characters milling about, and it was my priority install when the update came. Now it's completely silent while playing, and performance is...

Valkyria Chronicles, mainly. It's serious competition for Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2 as my game of the year. Time will look back on it fondly, and people will kick themselves for not having given it the attention it deserved.

Mark ye my words!
