Re: Can someone recommend a Video Capture PVR
Thanks for that, I think I will look at my Sony DVD recorder I got, the only issue is that I will have to record to a RW as it got no Hard Drive, and as for the Hauppauge HD PVR, was it the 1228 model? as going by reviews it wont record older signals from old consoles unless it is run through a VCR ...

Can someone recommend a Video Capture PVR
Hi, I wonder if anyone could recommend me a Video Capture PVR so that I can start recording some footage of retro games. I have looked into some options and I was looking at the hauppauge hd pvr. I know I need one to take the old analogue signals so it will need composite and S Video on it, and mayb...

It is a general blog covering a few of my hobbies including retro gaming obviously, and I think it will have something for everyone. It is light in content at the moment and the colour scheme will...

Re: Your favourite 16-bit platformer
My favourite was Shadow of the beast on the Amiga. This game graphics was just excellent, the 12 levels of parallax scrolling backgrounds and the very atmospheric soundtrack made this game very enjoyable.

Re: Your favourite 8-bit platformer
Monster in Mayhem land on the C64. I really did enjoy this game, not only was the gameplay was good, but also the graphics were excellent for it's time. And I think at the 8 bit era the only game to have a 100% review if I remember correctly.

Re: The 'Losing your Save Files' Thread - Share your memorie
I remember back in the 90's I imported Jurassic Park on the Mega/Srga CD and I completed about 95% of this game and the games used to save to the internal memory of the Mega CD. So I left it for a while and I bought a new release title for the Mega CD (cant remember the title now), anyway it asked m...

A couple of questions about a Super Famicom
Hi, I am looking to pick up a Super Famicom and I was wondering other than maybe altering the cartridge slot, is there an adaptor or something that will allow me to play NTSC SNES games on the Famicom. I am sure that you can just put the game PCB and plug it into the Famicom that way, but I was look...

Re: Strange Sega Saturn I found in my collection
Thanks all, I will get it down tomorrow from the attic and I will take some detailed photos and put them up here. To be honest, when I went searching the other day in my attic I was how should I say a little, tipsy  so there could have been other stuff on it, and it probably explains why the p...
