No, DSTE was a real user, he's just not been around for a while.
A spambot copy pasted the OP of the thread and I only noticed after I replied - Seems that’s becoming a common thing here... :/

Re: Stunning new Amstrad CPC racing game

Blessed or cursed? Blessed, no doubt about it. Without easy Spectrum ports, coming in as late as it did, the CPC would have sunk without a decent games library to back it up. If it weren't easy to port to, I can't imagine anyone much bothering with it, concentrating on the established market instea...

Re: Introduce yourself

That’s something even cooler so no worries about that - it should really open the door for new stuff IMO! If you ever set up a funding page of sorts, I’ll throw you a little something eventually! It’s not gonna buy time but if you needed to pay for hosting costs or for research it could help even if...

Re: Mixtapes

Found one earlier that I had made years ago which featured the likes of Guns 'n' Roses, Skid Row, AC/DC and Black Sabbath amongst others. I used to make them all the time and used to have some rather different bands next to each other like one tape I did had Sepultura 'Roots' followed by a Def Lepp...

Re: Should I program for the PS1, Saturn, or N64?

Well that was one hell of a convincing spambot to know where to copy paste from. Guess it’s a human spammer if anything, usually they just spam their ‘cheap pills/whatever’ BS in Cyrillic encoding and go away. Not sure why the software assigned you as the thread author now though, weird antic in php...

Re: Introduce yourself

Well, that’s pretty neat, can’t wait to see but don’t feel pressured to rush yourself in any way. It’s good to see alternatives to the likes of RetroPie etc. - particularly if it’s more geared towards the home computer eras than previous efforts so far have been (as far as I know: libretto for insta...

Re: Game Gear Micro Coming

I would have loved a Classic Game Gear - slimmed down a bit, modern screen, good battery, inbuilt library of GG and Master System games. I guess I'll just stick to.my modded PSPs and Vitas! Modded PSP is always a good bet. I don’t think any portable has ever come close to the homebrew support it ha...

Re: Should I program for the PS1, Saturn, or N64?

Cycle accurate N64 emulation is possible with CEN64 but you’ll need a pretty beefy PC to run it - it’s a thing at least though, and that’s certainly amazing to say the least (it’s took quite long compared to several other systems, really). It’s simply worth mentioning in case you went for the N64, i...

Re: Conversion Capers feels lazy

Maybe making them a less regular entry so as to spend more time and effort working on them would be a good idea, as well as possibly shifting its focus onto the main conversions worth covering rather than simply listing them with a small level of detail as has been said before, then less notable (as...

Re: Stunning new Amstrad CPC racing game

Any news of the ports for the superior C64 and ZX Spectrum machines? It will be fantastic on those machines  Still banging that drum? Seriously though, the Amstrad was a fantastic machine and these new games are proving that if programmers back in the day were able to spend more time with it (...

@nicw Interesting! Feel free to detail more about that “DIY console” if you so wish. What year did you get your A500+? :)

I mean, he's probably less of a risk than the people on the beaches near me over the past few weeks or so. Living in a seaside town really does show the idiot in people.

Re: Buying CD's

THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT - another name gone from the high street. Its been more than a few years since I last bought a CD. Does anyone so under 25 buy them :?: I do, I'm 18, then again I'm just weird lol. :D Online streaming usually offers unnecessary remasters which sound unnecessarily loud and "airy...

Re: Does anyone know how to fix my PS2?

Power brick, I'm assuming it's a non-9000x slim in this case? The slims are known to cause excess overheat - my 75003 had this issue - and also there's an issue that many have faced including myself with the slims where that overheat can cause the disc tray to warp up, therefore the discs basically ...
