Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

After getting Duke 3D, will need to invest in a different controller. Joy Cons are too small for my hands and the right analog stick is near inaccessible for camera view. Also other games are really cramping my hands, so it's time for a more conventional controller. Although sixty notes for the Nin...

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

I, Claudius.

I read the books years ago and really enjoyed them, I love historical drama. It obviously looks of its time, but I like it; feels more like a stage play

Re: What are you currently playing?

Super Mario 35 - thought it would be a novelty, but I actually really like it. The enemy heavy levels can get really hectic and fun.

Duke Nukem 3D - in some case it's aged badly, but it's still as fun as ever. The level designs were immense for the time and much better than Doom in some cases.

Re: Super Mario 35th Anniversary

I'm guessing that we won't see Super Mario 64 on any forthcoming Nintendo Online virtual console thing now? I've seen speculation that the digital version also being limited hints that Nintendo intend to break the pack up down the line and sell the games individually for more than they would cost t...

Re: What are you currently playing?

Mario Kart Switch. I barely played online before, because random match making when my skills are so bad isn't enjoyable. But with friends it's much more fun, and leads to plenty of banter. Nothing beats leaving your mate shellshocked inches from the finish line!

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Just discovered the delights of online Mario Kart play. With friends though, playing against random opponents means I get destroyed by a hail of fireballs, shells and so on.

Any other quality multiplayer games out there?

Re: Super Mario 35th Anniversary

Limited availability - Nintendo really know how to treat us don't they? Looking at it, there seems to be something for everyone here. I like the idea of taking the 3D games on the move, but hope they tighten up a few of the bugs (like slipping through the boat on one Sunshine level). I don't know wh...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

A Short Hike, as the girlfriend has the same name as the protagonist. It turns out my missus loves it more than me - she loves just wondering round the island, talking to people and then gliding admiring the views :)

Re: What are you currently playing?

Super Mario Maker 2

once you work out how to sift out all the pointless auto play, music and art levels, I've really enjoyed playing with levels that show how people have really got a handle on mechanics and setups. I've really enjoyed the Forest of Deception.
