Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion
I do really like the game, but I find the CPU opposition very cheap in comparison to F-Zero or Wipeout. Even on the easiest difficulty, you practically have to complete three perfect laps boosting the entire time to come first, and if one of the CPU ships manages to give you a good rattle... forget...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion
Fast RMX - took me a while to get to grips with the speed must be my age :( - but it's a nice WipeOut clone. Stick with it! I picked it up not long after buying my Switch. I'd heard mixed reviews, which was off-putting, and it does truthfully take a while to get the hang of. But it really is good f...

Re: HdE's Totally Unoriginal Gaming Show
Heads up! I hope everyone has had a nice Xmas break (or survived it, at the very least!) I'm wrapping up 2018, and indeed, season one of my YouTube gaming show, with a look at Sega's Megadrive version of COLUMNS. And nobody is more surprised than me at the fact that I found enough stuff to talk abou...

Re: HdE's Totally Unoriginal Gaming Show
The latest video on the channel arrives a bit late thanks to technical difficulties (it was actually supposed to go up after another video - and both of them decided to act up during production. Oh joy!) BUT! Better late than never! And this one's a look back at SUPER R-TYPE on the Super Nintendo. h...

Re: HdE's Totally Unoriginal Gaming Show
YES! I love this game, it's so under rated and a big favourite of mine. It might be a Juno First clone but I played this one first, great memories. 😎 And THAT'S the kind of reaction I like to see my videos getting! I only discovered Beamrider fairly recently - last year, I think. But I've been itch...

Re: HdE's Totally Unoriginal Gaming Show
Time for another review-me-do! This one scratches my itch for more Atari stuffs on the channel. Behold Dave Rolfe's awesome BEAMRIDER for the 2600!

Re: Octav1us Kitten
Actually, I can corroborate from my interactions with both Sarah and Kieran that they are indeed friends. And very good people. Greyfox - you can brand people 'fakes' and small fry on here all you like. But the fact is, before this thread appeared, I didn't know who you were. After the antagonistic ...

Re: HdE's Totally Unoriginal Gaming Show
It took a while to get this one uploaded (LOADS of weird issues with ideo capture, and the video itself came out at a ridiculous size) but the latest game to suffer my exacting scrutiny is MARBLE MADNESS on the Sega Master System. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DsFEI8_XcAI-6pX.jpg Watch it via this lin...

Re: Sony announces Playstation 1 Classic
There's no way they'd make it with an optical drive though. That'd add another ten dollars to the parts cost and increase the failure rate tenfold, all for the sake of a relatively small number of customers who already presumably have other devices to play their existing games on. Similarly, adding...

Re: Sony announces Playstation 1 Classic
I really feel conflicted about this product now. Overall, I'm leaning in the direction I stated right at the beginning when this was anounced. It really feels like Sony have have pulled this together quickly to make sure they cash in on the evident demand for these mini consoles. The line up of game...

Streaming only games can do one. There's no way I'm ever supporting that model of delivery to consumers.

Re: HdE's Totally Unoriginal Gaming Show
New vidly-pooz is up tonight, wherein I take a look at the NES conversion of a bona fide pillar of amusement arcades - no less than the ever hungry PAC-MAN! https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DqYHotSWwAAdRfo.jpg Two things I'm curious about: 1. Given the HORRIFIC implications of this game, how did it never...

Re: Backwards Compatability
Wow didnt think Orange Box would of made it guess Microsoft must of seen the light That's been backwards compatible for ages, though. I bought a pre-owned copy a good two months back just to play it on my Xbox One. If anything, there's some weirdness going on with the current compatibility list, th...

N64 video capture- can anyone help with this?
Hey folks! Been having a bit of a wrangle (and thats puttingthings mildly) trying to capture N64 gameplay footage for Youtube. This is a bit of a saga, but I was hoping somebody here might be able to advise me where I'm going wrong or what a better solution might be. Basically, it comes down to this...

Re: PS2 - Midnight Club 2
I have 100-ish games in my PS2 set. I recently picked up Midnight Club 2, already having 1 and 3. The game would freeze as the Rockstar "R" started to appear at the very beginning of the game. After cleaning the disc and trying it a few more times I found that it would freeze on the R or at the car...
