Re: From The Forum: 194

Burnout 3 and Revenge are definitely the best. Was really opposed to Burnout Paradise when it launched. I tried it but was not amused. Only when it was given away with PS Plus subscription I cared to give the game a second chance and... it was great! Maybe the first time it was something that went a...

Re: Subs Department Epic Failure

I've got 3 mails (yes, snail mail) to renew my subscription. All of them were different in design (one even looked like a postcard) and wording but the price was exactly the same. Don't care about the price but until trackable delivery is introduced I will not re-subscribe.

Re: Paid for 'free gifts'

Guys I think it's a cry for help! Somebody's keeping senzer hostage while making him purchase every issue of RG! Otherwise why would he buy the mag that's a "shadow of it's former self" and costs a quid more due to inclusion of "useless tat"?!

Re: Paid for 'free gifts'

People will complain about anything really.
For you it's a "useless tat", for some it's a very nice addition (listened to C64 Remix disc many times) . And yes, it's free for subscribers.
Cheers to RG team for keeping it interesting and fresh.

What good is a subscription if the issues do not arrive? I've said before that I'll gladly pay MORE for my subscription if a reliable and fast shipping service is being used.
Amen to that :!:

Re: Subs Department Epic Failure

I've got a personalized postcard informing me that my subscription is about to end. That is like a joke really. Before that there was a sealed mail with roughly the same information.
I bet both of those took a couple of weeks to arrive and yet here I am still waiting for 188 and 191 to materialize...

Re: Thank you so much for your great magazine!...

Magazine is great, there is no doubt about it! The most "doom and gloom" is with regards to delivery problems plaguing otherwise great magazine.
Cheers to everyone making the Retro Gamer possible!

Re: Tracking lateness

Surprisingly I got #189 this Friday (India, I work here on contract). It is by far the fastest issue to arrive and the condition of the mag is almost perfect, and there is still some fresh print smell :) But generally for the last 7-8 months delivery was horrible. I've never got 185 and 187 so ended...

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 189

Actually in this particular case I prefer the sub cover.
For SNK issue definitely retail cover was much better

Re: My letter was the star Letter in the November issue

Hi there! Haven't received November issue yet (as well as a couple of previous issues), but cheers anyway! Looking forward for it. Meanwhile your YouTube channel is not half-bad actually. It reminds me of Retro Gamer but in video form But as someone noticed in the comments for one of your videos - y...

Re: Tracking lateness

Yeah. Myfavourite is a mess. I've asked so many times to introduce trackable delivery subscription option but all is in vain. I'm ready to pay more to be confident that my mag will reach me on time (or at all). At first (for half a year) the delivery to India was fine - a little long, yes, but it is...

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 188

The point about the last Christmas cover being the worst seller isn't compelling. I'm sorry, but we've no current plans to run Christmas covers. If we do change this stance you'll see a Christmas cover next November :) Makes sense since then it raises the question why there is no Diwali cover or Ei...

Re: Neo Geo Mini Review in issue 188

Yeah but anyway ps classics mini has a wild mix of 50hz and 60 Hz games, stutter and performance problems on most games, scaling issues on some games and so on.
You can check Digital Foundry video for details. But long story short - it's a mess.

Re: RE: Free Subscription Incentives

For me the best incentive would be if the magazine would actually come through my mailbox :(
