Re: From the Forum - Issue 204: The Nostalgia Effect

For me it is just seeing what all the early machines can do and wondering how things would be different had other machines been more popular than the ones that were.

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 203

I found the Mario article interesting enough, over all this is a great issue with plenty of true retro stuff in it. I have no interest in anything beyond the turn of the millennium as it is all the same from then on, only the earlier stuff looks more jagged around the edge due to lower resolution.

Re: Amiga musicians/C64 musicians

I actually found the Sounds Digital album on Youtube. My thing with the Amiga is that although there are some fantastic tunes, the use of samples seemed to me, to take some of the skill away. I remember playing Bionic Commando on the C64 just before I sold it to get an Amiga. Once I had the Amiga a...

Re: PlayStation 3 - Retro or not?

From my point of view it is down to the technology behind the machine rather than how old it is. Over the years there have be some major changes in how a machine runs. Before the 8bit era things were generally very crude with no more than simple square blobs floating around and a 4 bit processor hen...

Taking ones foot of the clutch too early when changing gear, that grinds gears quite well

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 187

Subscribers get both covers for this one just open from exclusive end or it's upside down. There's some nice content plus SNK supplement and stickers for the kiddies to decorate the walls and stuff with. I won't mention the junk advertising bumf - oh I just did. All in all some good reading ahead. ...

Re: How Far Behind in the Magazine Issues Are You?

I'm up to date, but I do tend to skip parts on genres that don't really interest me (Sport, RTG and heavy RPG mainly) and anything modern looking I.E. textured 3D polygons.

Re: Magazine Quality - Latest issue

I am a subscriber to the magazine and received the Fallout issue, there seems a big change reading through this issue. Have you changed the paper for both the magazine and cover? Got to say I am not a fan as it seems cheap and not good to read as the pages are thin, stick together and wrinkle. Also...
