Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

I bought a PS2 today for £20 in fairly decent condition. Doesn't play anything but PS2 games though for some reason, but I have a Blu-ray player and a PSOne already.

Re: Sonic the hedgehog - MASTER SYSTEM

I remember Nintendo released some GBA games on the VC after the price drop back in late 2011 as a reward for those who had previously bought the 3DS, that was actually how SMA3 became one of my favourite games, although they never released GBA games since for whatever reason... and really, why didn'...

Re: What are you currently playing?

It'd be awesome if mouse/keyboard was supported on consoles, would make playing FPS games awesome :D That's what PC's are for! :D Console controllers don't detract from FPS gaming. Not saying console controllers are bad but it'd be nice to have more freedom of choice in terms of controlling on cons...

Re: Questions for Rob 'Atari' Zdybel

What are your favourite games you have developed for?

What was the most defining or funniest moment of your time as a developer?

Re: Sonic the hedgehog - MASTER SYSTEM

They were like that on the Wii and WiiU too, they'd go months without VC titles, release several, then stop again.

Re: What grinds your gears ?

That's just ridiculous. Though I think the problem is that people are skeptical at boot fairs because sometimes things don't work and people keep quiet about it, but that's no excuse in this case.

That said I like boot fairs sometimes you can pick up a few good PSone games on the cheap.

I'd order it in bulk and pay the full price rather than a discount just to support how awesome this game is. :D

Re: Site downtime?

Happens sometimes for me again too, I still think it is MySQL overload. I'd recommend someone with server access to go to the phpBB support forums and post relevant info (things like server configuration) and see what could be causing this.

"Luckily I have backed up all my DVD's and Blu-Rays to my 16tb NAS, so I still have all the films and TV shows to watch whenever I want." This is why I prefer physical media. It also doesn't depend on an Internet connection so you can take it on holiday and use it also when the Internet is jacking ...

why is it called retro canteen ? is it staffed by grumpy middle aged women? not having a go btw, seems like a good idea. it was the name of my blog. retro cafe would be full of pretentious hipsters drinking vegan latte with tofu milk, retro canteen is a greasy spoon with one waitress that is ...

Where is RG sold in the US?

I know that RetroGamer is published worldwide, but where can it be picked up in US book shops and other places? I'm mainly asking for a friend here from the US that I'd like to introduce to the magazine itself and would like him to be able to read it as well. :)

Re: BETA games, anything more fascinating ?

Yeah, Mario 64 was definitely an interesting one. Someone was making a replica hack of the 1995 demo a while back with a huge focus on accuracy, although he cancelled it because someone else was resuming working on one, or something like that. Here's the only video of the hack I could find: https:/...
