Re: Amiga musicians/C64 musicians

Some names I've not seen for a long time there... thanks for the memory refresh! Will go hunt some of that down and have a good old listen.

I still can't get as nostalgic over Amiga music like I do over C64 music though.

Re: Amiga musicians/C64 musicians

Barry Leitch deserves a mention... And is interviewed in issue 201... I read this earlier and wondered who Barry Leitch was. Then whilst cleaning my car out, I found a CD in the glovebox - The Official Game Soundtrack to HORIZON CHASE TURBO by none other than Barry Leitch !!!!!!!!!! So, this guy is...

Unlikely you'll find an SU book. Chris works with the creators of Crash and Zzap!64 ;)

All fantastic books from there though :)

Re: Amiga musicians/C64 musicians

I actually found the Sounds Digital album on Youtube. My thing with the Amiga is that although there are some fantastic tunes, the use of samples seemed to me, to take some of the skill away. I remember playing Bionic Commando on the C64 just before I sold it to get an Amiga. Once I had the Amiga an...

Re: Retro Gaming Spotlight: Asteroids

The directional mechanics always got the best of me in Asteroids. For someone of middling reflexes at 10 (reflexes that seemed, somehow, to regress with age. Go figure), it was...challenging. That's it! Once I'd left the middle of the screen I ended up thrusting every 2 seconds causing me to go 5 m...

Amiga musicians/C64 musicians

I'm sitting here running through my business accounts listening to Amiga music via YouTube and I was wondering: The C64 had iconic musicians like Hubbard, Galway, Gray, Daglish etc... But what about the Amiga? I used to own 'Sounds Digital' by Allister Brimble - that was awesome! Wish I still had it...

Re: Retro Gaming Spotlight: Gauntlet

I loved Gauntlet on the C64 and the Amiga!

Back then as a school kid, the arcade version would eat too many coins, eating into game buying money!!! So rarely actually played in the arcades.

Re: Retro Gaming Spotlight: Asteroids

Hey there! So I am in the UK (based in London) and part of the Community team. HOWEVER, I am also a Floridian, which makes me objectively awful. Having said that, happy to be here and will be posting regularly for the Retro Gaming spotlight. I am definitely human (or as close to one as a Floridian ...

Aren't you going to say hi to everyone MMohammed? I noticed you pop up as a moderator and thought it was just another silent name at the top of each section as usual! But you are here, posting. So, who are you. Are you actually in the UK or are we still being looked after from Trumpsville? What are...
