Re: Retro Gamer - issue 197

Just opened it and having a swift look through. Not as retro RETRO as I'd like, but there are still some real gems to dig into. I must quickly say though that I stopped and read the making of Super Robin Hood - a game I remember not being brilliant on the C64. The conversion capers with white print ...

Re: Retro Gamer Issue 196

The non-subscriber cover is horrible! I actually prefer the Subs one for this issue.

Re: From the Forum - Issue 197: Shenmue

We played Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 rather a lot on the Dreamcast, so when we got Shenmue and plodded around for a while, the kids decided it was rubbish and it never went back on!

All these years later I still haven't played it properly. I really must change that.

Re: Retro Gamer Issue 196

I've got it - but it's still in its wrapper. Life is just so busy atm, so will hopefully get to have a butchers hook sometime Wednesday. Never been a fan of the Gameboy (although Tetris was cool on it). Actually, the content on the cover has very little to 'turn me on' this issue. But you never know...

I pre-ordered this and got notification that it had dropped in price to £99.99

I'm happy with that :)

Re: The Retro Games Magazine Show Episode 2 - Zzap! 64 Issue 1

Well, for one, you spend a long time reminiscing whilst stuck on a single page. I love a good memory story but you spend a little too much time on it imho. Maybe, to get the double page rather than struggle with single pages - go to http://www.zzap64.co.uk/zzap1/zzap1.html as there you can see the m...

Re: The Retro Games Magazine Show Episode 2 - Zzap! 64 Issue 1

I loved Zzap!64 and issue 1 is a classic... but I can't quite bring myself to sit through over an hour of reviewing it!

I did skip forward (a lot) and enjoyed what I stopped to watch though :)

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 195

Actually, really enjoying this issue. So far Robocop 2 and Amiga power articles read... Both great reads. :)

BUT what are the chances of having a 'making of' the best Amiga mag ever produced? (obviously The One Amiga) ;)

A overall view on stickers. Worthless tat that has no place with RG, the subscribers are not 7 years old.
I gave them to my 10yr old daughter. No doubt I'll find them stuck on things all over the house later!

Wouldn't they all have a meltdown and have to hide under their desks for even mentioning emulation?

We all know that anyone that dares mention EMULATION is a thieving nasty pirate and could get the mag taken off the market
it is a great idea though :D
