Re: New forum - issues and complaints

No Off Topic means no birthday greetings, no Secret Santa, no Fantasy Footy... Look on the bright side, it's less work for the magazine staff. Which is the main thing. The magazine will improve exponentially as a result. I should think. To be honest it did look like they couldn't be arsed mod...

Re: New forum - issues and complaints

Sounds like they are cleaning up the mess that was in there, banning as appropriate. Guys this is a retro gaming forum, if you really want off topic - go to Facebook in the meantime. Some of us are really old and have no use or need for Facebook. Every forum I have ever been on in my long and uneve...

Re: New forum - issues and complaints

I've only just joined and had a good look around off topic before posting and saw nothing offensive. If there was it should have been removed, the poster warned and then life would have carried on. Closing the whole section is a tad excessive and leads me to assume that the forum as a whole isn't mo...

The Konix Speedking. Still have mine, it still works and just feels right.
*beats Trunky to death with it*
It's very flimsy and I'm quite fat so I think I'd win.

Re: Who gets the main TV at night?

Hardly ever watch tv, so the missus has the lounge. Unless there's a match on. Then I'm all over it. Oh yes. It's no biggie as I have a pc room which houses my vinyl collection plus my retro do dahs...fire up a game, put a tune on and re live my early years. Oh how I miss them. I had hair then you k...

I'll be sure to do that with my avatar too, and unfortunately I've never seen an issue/copy of Retro Gamer before in my local store/supermarket... :/

Re: Introduce yourself

Hi folks, i am Vercingetorix from Germany, almost 40 years old, and i like retro stuff in general. That means not only classic computer games (i have a still working Amiga 500 and some games), but also Vinyl Records - especially Progressive Rock from the 70's, decorating things from the 80's, and o...

Stunt Car Racer.

It was bloody hard but the 3D rocked my world when it came out.

The Konix Speedking.

Still have mine, it still works and just feels right. I also have a competition pro. I like it. Just not as much. It hurts the palm of my hand after a while.

An excellent issue. Loved the Mark Cerny interview and the Alien Breed piece. Very well written and informative.

Re: 2016/17 Football season chat

Exciting end to the premiership. Even though i hate Man utd - fair play to them as theyve been on a great streak in the premiership without losing a game. Should be very tight to see who gets champions league qualification. City have messed up recently with some draws. Can see Liverpool fading away...

I am also a big fan of the Amiga.

Sorry, what was the question?

Oh yeah, much better on the NES. Never seen it on the Amiga.

Re: Games that are better on inferior hardware

I'll fight anyone, bare chested, one arm tied behind my back, in a skirt, the old fashioned way, who disagrees with the following statement... Donkey Kong on the Dragon 32 is as playable as all the other versions. But is it mainly green?! Nope. No, no no no no no no and a no. There's some yellow in...
