Re: Arcade Imperfect ... another retro-gaming book by Jerry Ellis!

I'm happy with the timing so the original cover's seen print on the Zzap annual.

But the book will be great regardless!

Re: The64 - Computer And Handheld Console

A definite early-ish adoption for me. Got a couple of USB keyboards so don't think I'll hold out till the full-size version.

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

I got a 128GB micro SD card that should last a while. Kingston branded one was £25 from eBay.

I don't get on with screen protectors so I bought a USB-C extender cable. Switch doesn't need to go into the dock, I just run the cable between the two.

But yes, back to the Kickstarter. Much as I love Rob's work, I'm not really that interested in a bunch of covers by other people in this case.
The Hubbard book can be pledged for by itself, if that appeals. A bit pricey, tho.

Re: Project Hubbard (Rob Hubbard Kickstarter) is live!

I'd consider 'stuff' if more options are added later, but £20 for a mug is OTT, haven't got a C64 connected or emulated, don't want vinyl or tape etc.

But Commodore cliche that I am, Hubbard's my fave chiptune composer. I'm getting a Hubbard T-shirt through the Sidologie Kickstarter!

Re: Project Hubbard (Rob Hubbard Kickstarter) is live!

The add-ons are steep, but I don't have any problem with the main pledges.
Happily backed the £95 level.

Re: The Commodore Story documentary (Kickstarter)

Congrats, Rocky! I've been a superbacker for a while, but I don't know what qualifies someone.

'Commodore Vic20: A visual history' arrived yesterday -- I've never even played on one!

Re: The Commodore Story documentary (Kickstarter)

I'm practically a Kickstarter Addict, especially for retro gaming projects, so I backed this a while ago.

Have barely looked at my NES Visual Compendium that arrived last week, or indeed many of the previous similar projects, or any of the retro audio ones...

Re: Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild

Full-time job plus part-time study means mine will stay on the pile till mid-Sept, but at least It's there, should the Wii U version become rare.

Re: Wii U Owners Thread - Including User IDs

I don't expect to get around to playing it for months, but have ordered Zelda to be on the safe side, £39.75 from Gameseek.

Re: Resident Evil VII

On the demo, I found the angle movements awkward. It felt inaccurate and less immersive. With the smooth turning, it felt better in terms of gameplay/control and immersion, but a bit queasy. I only tried a couple of rate settings for that mode, though -- saving myself for the full game -- so will gi...

Re: Resident Evil VII

I've used expiring Game credit to splash out on their steelbook edition, should arrive by Tuesday.

I fiddled with the First Hour VR controls to try to get a balance between immersion, motion sickness reduction and responsiveness. Any advice on the launch version's control settings, RetroAerosmith?

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Wii U was out for 3 years before price and games were enticing enough for me, and that was after getting Gamecube and Wii on their launch dates. Hoping Nintendo get their act together more quickly, but with that price and Mario Odyssey the only game of interest (will get Wii U Zelda, and other decen...
