I like Retro Shamer - reminds me of the old skool mag reviews that would crop up from time to time when a mag would really let rip (and undoubtedly lose out on some heavy marketing cash). It's funny but some of those have stayed with me far longer than the many, many positive reviews... The Rise of ...

There's just something not quite right somewhere. Why has it taken over 10 years for a commercial release to turn up. How come it was never reviewed? Is it a prototype that escaped? Is it unfinished? The blurry photos might not be doing the graphics justice. Again, a job for RG to find out. They ha...

I also keep going back to CRL's Test Match on the CPC and Speccy with alarming regularity... it's so completely random and yet I love playing it despite hating the sport? So weird...

I'm actually toying with the idea of getting an MSX - I know next to nothing about them and that's part of the attraction. Are they easy to get up and running?

Kane on my CPC emulator for the PSP.

Forgot just how addictive this bad boy was! Love the tranquility of shooting down the birds in the first level. Cracking little game.

Been mulling over trying out Kane II for the C64 - think I'll save it for Monday's train journey.

3D Stunt Rider is better than Dizzy. Irrelevant? So is your face. It was designed by Sir Alan himself though and he's better than all of you so stick that in your crack pipe Tramiel. Sugar Rocks. Which sounds almost like Sigur Ros and they're the biggest things to come out of Iceland since Kerry McF...

What if they go the way of the em@iler and incorporate Speccy emulation on Sky boxes? They have a perfect delivery system, they're already set up for pay-per-view, so microtransactions for Speccy games is a viable option. That's not a bad shout actually. Murdoch has never been one to look a gift ho...

RPGs? They're a pain in the proverbial when you're lugging a joystick about the screen (although the mouse boots both of them into touch).

I Hope I'm not only the one who did this, but I used to find myself in my earlier years being so frustrated by a game I threatened the console with violence if it didn't let me win. Funnily enough I then always won. Having recently completed Sonic 2 with ease, I can't see why I got so worked up all...

He literally bumped into me on Glasgow's Hope Street. He's absolutely massive and solid. He'd stepped out of a tinted hummer and was going into a pub that's got a local rep for real ale. Was talking to a woman, think it was his PA and smacked into me without looking where he was going. I nearly deck...

Does make you think about what could have been achieved by Amstrad if they'd got in on the act a little quicker. Thats the trouble with only making nasty cheap knock off machines - You have to wait untill some else has done all the hard work such as inventing and building something before you can s...
