Did anyone else get the comic SCREAM! - It was brilliant and ahead of it's time.
Only lasted for 15 issues but all of them were great!

War Games - Broderick Playing Galaga at start of film.

Night of Comet - Main character plays an Arcade game in lobby of Cinema where she works. I think it was Tempest.

I too learnt a lot from typing in listings. My first ever type-in, was from a magazine borrowed one night from a mate at school. It was a simple lunar lander for the zx81. For me its about the bits. 8-bit and 16-bit is retro - 32-bit is still widely used, but being overtaken by 64-bit.

I emulate so I can play systems I've never even seen in the shops.
Also lately I've been thinking about having a real 48k Speccy again...*nostalgic sigh*
