Re: Pacland

I liked the cheery music in Pacland. Never considered it was a 'girlie' game though

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 127

Hope the price error on the review of Txk on Vita doesnt put anyone off buying it - its only £5.49 - not the £39.99 quoted in the box above the review. Thanks for the colecovision pages - just picked one up last week but no games.... I haven't bought the issue yet but feel bad for Jeff if that's th...

Re: Why do you buy Retro Gamer?

I love reading about the history of a game or software house and those involved. You got to know quite a few names back in the 80's so it great to hear what they thought and what they're up to now. It's also great to read about games or systems I never knew about or had access to. Plus reminding you...

Re: Jag and 3DO 20 years old this year.

I purchased a Goldstar 3DO when the Amiga magazines finally went. It was a cheap stop gap for me and I hadn't played a Playstation at all. With that in mind, we had immense fun with the 3DO especially Killing Time, Return Fire and Fifa Soccer. It was all a step up from playing Doom and Alien Breed ...

I played Super Stardust on the PS3 recently. It looked great but did I miss something or was the old Asteroid mechanics of floating around almost uncontrollably not there? I miss that.

Retro as an adjective actually means 'imitative of a style or fashion from the recent past', so style is already in the meaning of the word.

Either way, people will know what I mean from the thread

Your favourite *new* retro game

I've taken great joy in seeing new games coming out on mobile devices which hark back to retro times but with modern polish and technology. So I was wondering what are your favourite *new* retro games? A few of mine are: Tiny Towers (more for the visuals) Toast Time The Other Brothers *Apologies if ...

Absolutely, I've pledged for the book but he can take as long as he needs to and if he can't get back onto it, it's really no worry. His health is far more important.

Get well soon!

Re: Retro Gamer Features Index spreadsheet

I've created a page to search this data. More info in this thread . What is the latest issue number your search goes up to? I typed in Ocean but it didn't come up with issue 101 which is dedicated to Ocean. However I think any database/spreadsheet on Retro Gamer is brilliant as I wonder w...

Re: Nexus 7 tablet is fantastic at emulation!

I still haven't bought any smartphone or tablet which beats using my old PSP for emulators, especially the ZX Speccy. You can't beat a physical joystick/pad over touch screens. However I did see an emulation device looking very much like a PSP in this months Retro Gamer. ZXDS beats any Speccy emu f...
