Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

That looks like a solid, decent light-gun gaming telly, dprinny. Enjoy.

Re: What are you currently playing?

I'm back on the SNES mini, this time on to Mario World 2 Yoshis Island. Never got this game back in the day as I think the art style didn't appeal to me, but starting to now see what all the fuss was about. Its good old brilliant Nintendo at its best, making you always wanting to see what the next l...

Re: The games that should be on a GG micro

I would love to have seen Dragon Crystal on there. My favourite GG game, along with the Shinobi games and Alien Syndrome. But this is just a novelty keyring. Whether it had 1 game or the entire library on it, its a gimmick without the kind of practical use of the usual "mini" consoles. I'd probably ...

Dr Luigi! On the Wii U.

Also got a GBA flashcart, the EZFLash Omega. That sort of counts, as about 3000 games.

Re: What are you currently playing?

Currently, Dr Luigi. Been on a Dr Mario journey over the past few weeks, but decided to go wild and buy Dr Luigi on the Wii U - its Dr Mario re-skinned green, but its still a classic, and a couple of cool modes including decent use of the Gamepad as well.

Re: Game Gear Micro Coming

It just makes me want to get a modded Game Gear with proper modern backlit display, and an everdrive GG cartridge. This seems to be a gimmick that probably could have been much more. 4 games! And that screen....if anything on the GG could do without shrinking, its the screen.

It'd be nice if we could talk a bit about politics on here, but you've got to remember which people peed in that pool.
Theres really not that much to talk about these days in politics anyway, its all gone eerily quiet.

I now post my gaming comments on here, and spill my political bile and belittle knuckleheads on the 'other' forum.

Re: What are you currently playing?

Super Tennis (on Switch Online). A tennis game I'm determined to try and excel in. I was always more of a fan of Jimmy Connors, and Smash Court tennis series, when it came to the old-school 2D tennis games, and never truly got into Super Tennis. I plan to change that now! Once you get the timing rig...

Re: Sony announces Playstation 1 Classic

Indeed. The PSPs PS1 emulator is also significantly better than the PS1-Classic as well, especially if you're running "official" PSN Playstation 1 game eboots - they're practically flawless.

Re: Favorite GBA game

It's actually more of a portable 3DO, technically speaking. But I know what you mean, it has a lot of games that are either from SNES or feautre SNES-like scrolling effects. How so? Aside from the ARM CPU I don’t see that the GBA has much in common with the 3DO. I meant that more in the sense that ...

Re: What are you currently playing?

I have been trying to give my old Wii U a bit of love in recent weeks, and purchased a digital (and exclusive to Wii U at the time of writing this post) game called "Affordable Space Adventures". Really finding it enjoyable, despite a lot of trial and error! Makes great use of the Wii U Gamepad as a...

Re: Modding a PSP 1000?

Its a pity that Ridge Racer, Ridge Rev and Rage Racer never got official PSN releases, particularly the latter....i've ripped/converted Rage Racer to an eboot, but its actually quite laggy with iffy framerate. Same with Gran Turismo 2. Ridge Racer and RRR seem to run fine though (although think i ha...
