Re: From the forum issue 178 - Goldeneye
I remember it keeping me up night after night, I just became totally immersed in the whole thing, I had never played a shooter that good before and for a long while after.

Re: From The Forum issue 172 - ZX Spectrum Anniversary
I was Spectrum obsessed as a mere 13year old back in 1986 when I got my +2, fast forward to 2017 and I still have a first love connection to the machine, I added a 48k rubber keyed model to the collection in 1987 when my mum realised I couldn't live without my +2 when it had to go in for repair! I g...

Re: Sonic the hedgehog - MASTER SYSTEM
The Master System/Game Gear version is a fine fine game in its own right. The sequel on the Game Gear is teeth grindingly hard!

Re: Nintendo releasing a new NES !
This definitely interests me, there are some very fine games included on it that make it appealing to me. I must say that like others here I would like there to have been some Internet connectivity but that would have driven the cost up quite a bit. An Sd card option would have been nice although I ...

Re: From The Forum issue 158 - Your favourite handheld
Whilst its probably not the most popular choice for a variety of reasons like crap battery life, dubious screen quality and Master System ports coming out of its wazoo I really really like the Sega Game Gear, I love the shape of it,the chunkiness of it and I find it comfortable to use, getting a rec...

Re: Gamesradar presents Classic Gaming Vol. 1 bookazine
Future publishing have produced some decent games magazines over the years, almost too many to mention but it was nice to see someone challenging them with magazines that offered something a bit different, Imagine produced some fine competition to Future and Retro Gamer is the jewel in the crown, in...

Re: NES Repro Consoles query
I picked up a Retron 2 whilst in America last year for $50 and it works fine with everything both Pal and Ntsc that I throw at it apart from Rad Racer (which I was peeved about) that had graphical glitches and Kick Off (which is probably a blessing) which also has graphical issues, aside from these ...

Re: CD32 Brian The Lion Disc Only Value
I have a disc only copy of this game that came with a batch of 20 or so games when I bought my Cd32 back in 2012, I had no idea it was scarce at all, It's quite a fun little game and I will be interested to see what it goes for in the end.

Re: Amiga vs ST
I always wanted an Amiga but in those far flung years I went for the ST for cost reasons, I did enjoy it but still pined for the Amiga, in the end I sold the ST and bought an Amiga with some extra hard earned bucks and I have loved it ever since, as a cash strapped youth back then you generally had ...
