Re: Master System must haves?

Sonic Chaos I have a huge soft spot for. It's clearly riiiiiiight on the edge of what the SMS can do but it's doing it. Don't think I've ever played that. I'll have to give it a go 😀 Just been playing it now, loved it. Would be been good to see a Mega Drive version of it too. You're lucky, it exist...

Re: Quake II Fully Ray Traced

I loved quake 2. It really blew me away when I first saw it running in IIRC HMV. Fantastic music too. Wasn't really a quake game though. Sci-fi space marine is a bit too close to doom. If you ask me, Quake II is still very much Quake, except they removed the fantasy H.P. Lovecraft inspired stuff in...

Re: Quake II Fully Ray Traced

Music wise there's no better than the Trent Reznor stuff. As for gameplay / graphics, Quake 1 had the whole Cthulhu type thing going, and the mish mash of medieval fantasy and futuristic tech for both the look of the levels + the enemies you'd encounter. See I found Quake a bit incoherent. Zombies,...

Quake II Fully Ray Traced

Well, another big technological push seems to be going on in the PC gaming scene right now - consumer level ray tracing is finally a thing with Nvidia's GeForce RTX series (AMD and Intel to follow in the future) and we're already getting the first examples of ray tracing support in big commercial ga...

Re: Anybody here tried the PS3 emulator RPCS3?

I think as far as emulation goes, Nintendo's platforms are covered well on PC, but Sony's and Microsoft's are hit or miss. Although yes, Xbox 360 and PS3 emulation seems to be doing good progress nowadays, given that you have a good enough PC to handle it. Maybe that's a bit ironic considering OG Xb...

Re: Game Recommendations: MacIntosh

There was a rather good version of Wolfenstein 3D for the Mac running on the Doom engine and with higher quality assets than the DOS original (much like the 3DO and Jaguar versions): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhjQcA1TehI Also, a very competent version of Prince of Persia with higher res graphi...

Looks like another On Live, unless Google puts some serious cash into advertising and pushing this thing.

Absolutely delighted to see this released, even if it isn't on any platform I own!
Not even a PC?

Game's not that demanding, some i3 powered laptop with decent graphics should handle it just fine.

a 3DS player would've been a great add on for the Wii U.
I feel so too but the system was too shortlived for it to materialize. Think Nintendo stopped making such add-ons after the GameCube, but the Wii U already was a bit of a "hybrid" system anyway (with the Switch being an actual one).

I've never played a Toejam game, totally passed me by
I played the MD original but I never really messed with it much. Still, this new version seems neat and may be worth to plunge some money and time into.

Looks real cool to me and isn't pricy either.
