Re: Is the forum in decline?

I understand that some members may hold different opinions about events that have taken place elsewhere, but please don't use this forum to continue external drama. We're quite capable of making our own.

Re: Why is Tails hated so much?

There are many, varied reasons why people don't like Tails, some of which are more valid than others. In the Sonic games, Tails can cause problems during single-player games where he's able to tag along. Most memorably, he quite often runs into bombs in Sonic 2's special stages, but he can also inte...

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 199

Thanks, but I can hardly take the credit for the feature. I only contributed the "Does It Run Doom?" spread, as I suffer from motion sickness while playing Doom - the bulk of the feature was put together by Adam Barnes and Darran.

Re: Is the forum in decline?

This all happened a couple of years ago and to be honest, it really needs to be put behind us. I strongly suspect that many of the banned members (you know, the ones who haven't already registered new accounts) probably have no desire to come back, and there's not going to be any change in the "no r...

Re: Retro gaming in Tokyo

I'm heading out in April, and will be bringing quite a lot of money and an empty suitcase with me. I'm actually staying fairly close to Akihabara too.

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 199

Can't bring myself to read the Amstrad Action article. It's probably very good but although I'll read about an Amstrad game, the mag holds no interest. Think about it this way, would you be reading Retro Gamer without Amstrad Action? If you assume that Imagine Publishing was the only potential buye...

Re: Help me fine this mega drive game

It's on the Mega Drive version too, I believe - there's just not a lot of videos of it out there.

Re: Help me fine this mega drive game

Sounds like Pie Slap, the mini-game on Cosmic Spacehead. Here's a video of the Master System version.

Added the sticky, having first had to work out how to allow myself to do it!

Re: Is the forum in decline?

See, here's the thing: talking about politics is something I do. I studied politics at university, I have been politically active and will occasionally post about politics on social media. I've rarely done it here, because I'd rather not get into arguments with people who are or could be my customer...

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 198

First issue i've missed out on for a long time, and no word of explanation from Darren. Screw ordering it. As I explained above, we've had a major distribution issue where stock intended for North America was inadvertently delivered to UK shops, which caused all sorts of problems. I'd like to provi...

Re: Is the forum in decline?

I do love a bit of revisionist history. Everyone that was banned during that incident in 2017 was banned under the rule that prohibited hate speech. This rule had been in place longer than I've been with the company. We then added a new rule banning the discussion of politics. If we were banning all...

From the Forum - Issue 199: Shareware

Well, [press] my [trousers] and call me [Reginald], we're doing issue 199! And you know what that means - that's right, it's the one hundred and ninety-ninth issue of Retro Gamer. But before we get to issue 200 and all the festivities, it's time for me to dip my spoon into your collective jar of men...

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 198

Is this late into the shops again? Been to Smiths and Tescos twice, once yesterday, once today and the new issue is not on the shelves. Anyone seen it? We've been made aware of a distribution issue, related to copies with the North American cover (different barcode, dollar prices) making their way ...
