For me any of the GB Zelda games and Mystic Quest. Maybe the DS Castlevania games as a backup option.

Re: Charity Shops
Nice little find the other day - Castle of Illusion (MD) boxed with instructions. Cost me one whole pound. I'll probably put it on eBay sometime soon though - I don't actually have a Mega Drive but I just can't resist a bargain!

Re: When did you find out...
I didn't realise that Probotector and Contra were the same game/series until I'd played Super Probotector and seen Contra 3 as a challenge on Gamesmaster. Even back then I thought the censorship idea was being really soft.

Re: Do you prefer Mario 2D or 3D games?
2D wins by a mile for me. The 3D games are good, but the 2D ones are generally just more satisfying and I find them more user-friendly. The same goes for Metroid, Castlevania and Zelda.

Re: What's this I found?
Looks like a token from SegaWorld - a big Sega arcade in London. I doubt it's there any more, but in about 1997ish I went on a school trip to London and a visit there was part of the itinerary. You got given tokens like that one for the entry fee which counted as a credit in the machines. I can't re...

no-one's gone for Rise Of The Robots yet  Ah, 'tis a fine game to be sure, but it falls into insignificance when compared with Catfight  I'm not aware of Catfight enlighten me. You'll probably have a whole new appreciation of and lamentation for your former blissful unawareness of this ...

Very tough question! I think it's probably Super Metroid, but there are a LOT of games nibbling at its heels.

Re: Console Wars Memories
I remember that me and my mates had a pretty good spread of consoles between us and we'd spend weekends at each others' houses often bringing consoles (and occasionally a spare portable telly) with to play whatever we fancied. We all had our faves and there were many friendly arguments, but on the w...

Re: How often are the "best" games your favourite games?
Great question! My list is also quite a mix, but I find I tend to enjoy more "best games" on older systems. For example, on NES my list includes some obvious "best" titles like LOZ, Mario, Metroid, Castlevania etc, a few undisputed classics (great games but not in the best of category) like Bubble B...
