Re: HdE's Totally Unoriginal Gaming Show

Sometimes it features retro-like games.

Which, to be honest, I think I've played enough of from seeing the review :)

Re: Gaming Video links

Plus Tamara's stuff is joyous and upbeat and lovely and you should watch it. Especially this one about Clockwork Knight. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBeGOry-Q14 -- Hi I'm Dudley of this parish. I recently started a show called Yesterzine, playing the highest and lowest rated games in old magazin...

Re: Yesterzine - The Literal Magazine Show

One last Yesterzine special before a new thing emerges. At the request of a viewer I circled back to episode 3 and took a look at Dune on Mega CD.

Re: Yesterzine - The Literal Magazine Show

A special episode with a twist. At Christmas 1994, Rise of the Robots was both the highest and lowest scorer in issues of Amiga Action and Amiga Power. Who was right? Are they still right? What leads to the exact same game getting scores with a range of 87%? And why is Brain May involved? https://ww...

Re: HdE's Totally Unoriginal Gaming Show

I didn't know this existed.

I agree though, the flip screen doesn't help. I don't think I mind as much though because the games of this sub genre I played were things like Kirby's Pinball Land so it's a mechanism I'm kinda used to.

Re: Yesterzine - The Literal Magazine Show

A brief offering this week where I take on UK games legend Dave Perry. My chief advantage? It's him 23 years ago and I've not told him about it.

Re: Mega Drive Mini

I'm normally a little bit against modding this kind of thing because if you want an unofficial thing you might as well go for a Raspberry Pi.

But in the case of the Playstation one all you're really doing is fixing the mistakes Sony made.

Re: Mega Drive Mini

Yeah, there's something special about the "Official" Minis, especially if they're well done. The NES and SNES are wonderful little buggers and give the sheer miracle working nerdery that is M2 this should be as well.

Re: Yesterzine - The Literal Magazine Show

If you've watched any Yesterzine you'll know we have a theme tune. And if you've played any games in the Amiga days you probably know the author, if not by name. And if you've played anything in 25 years you'll recognise the series in which he did his most famous work. But how did I get from a surpr...

Re: Mega Drive Mini

Needs a couple of sports games. This was the downfall of the SNES Mini for me personally - a lack of multiplayer sports. I'm guessing that's something to do with EA keeping their games locked up? Saying that, i'm sure it'll be hackable within hours of it being released. Shame it doesn't come with t...

Re: The video games of Diehard retrospective

Forgot to re-reply.

I enjoyed this, there's so many games I didn't know about. Still not sure if I want to play the "2nd" trilogy though.

Re: Yesterzine - The Literal Magazine Show

What’s that? You’d like a special?

And you’d specifically like it to be about Die Hard Trilogy on the Playstation and to have been cut from episode six?

Alright then.
