Re: What's the most iconic retro game that's actually rubbish?

I second Golden Axe, such a boring game.

My nominations are Cauldron 1 and 2. I love the graphics but the actual games are not much fun.

Re: From the forum issue 208: Eighties pick'em

Computer: Amiga 500, simply awesome.
Console: NES as I have never played any Mario games.
Arcade Cabinet: Gauntlet, so good with friends.

Not received mine yet but then I have only had two postal deliveries in nearly three weeks.
Maybe it will arrive tomorrow.

Good stuff inside but I am with those who don't like the subs cover.

Re: From the Forum - Issue 204: The Nostalgia Effect

I find I am only really interested in systems and games that I owned growing up, Plus/4, Spectrum, Amiga and PC.
I would like to get into consoles, and have tried on several occasions, but I find my attention drawn back to what I know and love.

Re: Amiga musicians/C64 musicians

Chris Huelsbeck is my favourite but you also have Richard Joseph, Allister Brimble, Barry Leitch, Tim Follin, Olog Gustafsson and Martin Iveson among others.
A lot of the great C64 musicians also worked on the Amiga.

Re: Non-gaming music that reminds you of game music

Game of Thrones title music sounds uncannily similar to the original Settlers game.

Re: Cancel Subscription

I don't think the font size is the problem but sometimes the choice of colours can make it difficult for those of us who are colour-blind. Not to the point where anyone should cancel their subscription though.

Re: Questions for Mark 'Kick Off' Greenshields

I'm assuming he did the C64 conversion of Kick Off.
What was the thinking behind changing to a horizontal game rather than vertical?
Were the 8-bit machines too limited to handle vertical football games?

Re: GODS Remastered

I never really liked Gods. The Bitmap Brothers were a bit of a marmite company to me, some of their games I absolutely loved (Speedball 2, The Chaos Engine), while others just left me cold (Gods, Magic Pockets).
