Pitfall

Yay, I just survived the 20 minutes! I have 86,205.

(I've been playing it on Activision Anthology btw)

Anyone done better? I imagined they have!

I have been delving into 'Activision Anthology' for the PS2. I've had it for a while but it's been relatively ignored (except for a quick go on the infamous Pitfall). I fired it up after reading about River Raid, which is actually really good (for such an old'n!). I also recommend playing Keystone K...

Re:

If you just want it to play Japanese Saturn games then you can't go wrong with the bog standard Grey or White models. You should be able to pick one up for about £20 if you know where to look. Ok, cheers, I wouldn't mind getting a Universal one (do they exsist?) Um, where would be the best place t...

Should I get a 'VICTOR JAPAN' SEGA SATURN'? Help needed!

Hey guys. I've been toying with the idea of getting a japanese Sega Saturn for a looong time; it's kind of one of those crazy purchases I've always wanted to make! Anyway, I'm thinking of getting a 'V-Saturn', which is a 'Victor Japan' version of the Saturn. What do you guys reckon? Are they good? H...

Re:

I rmemeber attempting X-Men Vs Street Fighter on the arcade; it was a button-bashing frenzy to say the least! Awesome game though. I have the CPS2 boards of that & Street Fighter Alpha 2. I'm not a fan of the stupidly high jumps & button mashing. Alpha 2 can be found in my cabinet more often than X...

Re:

Well the great thing about the NGPC is that it is halfway between a d-pad and a stick. It's ideal for making the leap. I guess so. The only fighters I've played on the arcade that I was ever good at were Tekken and Tekken 2 (I was amazed when I first played them at Butlins in 1996!!) I rmemeber att...

Re:

Emulators suck balls! How can you possibly appreciate the NGPC properly if you're not playing on the same screen and with that sweet ass stick? To be honest, I'm great with the stick (cue nob gags!). All my life I've been a d-pad man when it comes to beat em' ups, and I'm hardly an SNK veteran! Per...

I really just got into shooters in 2005; I now understand the glory of them! So, off the top of my head... Gradius (Konami GB Collection, Gameboy Color) 1942 (NES/Capcom Classics Collection, Playstation 2) Gunbird (Gunbird Special Edition, Playstation 2) 1945 I (Playstation 2) I also looooove ASTRO ...

I bought a NGPC almost a year ago (I think) and I haven't really got 'stuck into it' yet. It came with Metal Slug 1st Mission and Fatal Fury. It's a cool little system, and after reading the article in the latest ish, I'm tempted to get some more games for it. This may sound weird, but i might just ...

Re:

I would go with a Gameboy Light. I used to have one of these and they're bloody great, particularly if you wanted something pre-GBA/GBC. Can't really fault the GB catalogue too much either. Are these easy to come by? I thought they were Japanese only? Anyway, if you want something pre-GBA; get a Ga...

I remember when i was about ten, my best mate (at the time!) was playing Super Ghouls N' Ghosts on the SNES, and was thinking how boring games were whilst I sat building things out of Lego... Ahh, the age of innocence...! Yeah, I think kids play too much games too early these days. Ofcourse, I guess...

DZ's gem #1... Bart Simpson Escape From Camp Deadly (GB)

Have been playing this gem today. I used to love this as a kid, and still love it now. Plus, it's not as ridiculously difficult as I thought it was when I was a young'n; although I am finding it far more difficult now that I'm quite a way through... Anyway, love the music, love the graphics, love th...
