Re: From the forum issue 155 - Speedrunning
I can totally admire the effort people put into these speed runs but I have neither the time nor energy needed for something so competitive.

Re: Favourite Quake Game
Quake 3 or more specifically, Quake 3 Arena. On the Dreamcast, this had to be my first introduction to online gaming and boy, did it leave an impression. Competing with players from all over the world, I absolutely loved it and played it relentlessly. I even tried out for a clan although I didn't ge...

Re: New Indiana Jones - 2019
Crystal Skull was appalling, a complete waste of everybody's time. Would work if he was handing over the reigns to a younger adventurer or something I suppose. Which is what he should have done at the end of Crystal Skull... he had a great opportunity to do so. One can only hope it's Indy in the ro...

Oh, this is great news. Really looking forward to it!NickThorpe wrote:Good news: this one's happening now. It's going to be an Ultimate Guide - the original arcade game lacks any form of credits, so we're going to have to do some real detective work to ever put together a Making Of.

Re: XCOM 2
Anyone else playing this? I had another epic mission failure last night. My censored squad can't hit anything. Useless fucks, they all deserve to die. Also, I'm pretty sure the AI knows exactly where my squad is in concealment. It's amazing how enemy patrols always seem to wander straight into them...

Damn, forgot all about this and it's out in few days!
Just bought Tomb Raider on PC, thought that would do me for a while before I get distracted by something else.

Re: Games based on books?
First thing that comes to mind is the short story 'I Have No Mouth, And I Must Scream'.
A very strange and original short story that was converted to the ST and Amiga I think. Never played it though.

Re: Discuss Time! Issue 152
Anything too plot heavy, i don't have the attention span to get engrossed in a long drawn out story anymore, would rather read a book! Also reptiveness, fetch quests and the such. Its amazes me how many open world games incorporate this kind of gameplay. Fallout 4 is a prime example, I was amazed ho...

To be honest, I never seen it as anything more than a glorified video player.
Final Fight and Sonic CD were the only titles that caught my attention.

Re: Old TV shows that no one you talk to remembers.
Also one I can't remember the name of myself and its been bugging me for years, really. It was about a guy who would gain superpowers by looking at the sun, his eyes would change colour if I remember correctly. I don't think it lasted very long because of the whole staring into the sun thing, kids ...
