Pricey but fun. And yes, cheaper than some.

I bought it on 10% off day, having already splurged my clubcard points on something the other week.

80p, all for me

Nintendo games are fun. While The Big N have always delivered quality hardware, complete with flashy gfx etc, their focus has been on the games and user experience.

The Wii is perhaps the best example of this.

Super Mario Brothers. That game dominated my childhood and I didn't even own it. So simple and yet if I could discover it fresh now I'd still be totally blown away.

You'd think so but I was there last night and as the front page seemed to be in French I discounted it as the one I was looking at...

Thanks for the info though :D

Eejit! Someone give me the Oric link from the latest ish?

I tore my RG (Yes, I know that's bad) and so I recycled it. I meant to check out that Oric link for the legal game downloads though.

Could someone please take pity on me (and forgive my badness) and give me the link?

Please

I still looked at it every month, but was getting nothing from it having studied it in earnest before.

Maybe it could run once a year or something...?

And bear in mind they have to eat the costs of all the copies WhSmith throw away at the end of the month. (They don't send them back, they pull the covers off and send those back and ditch the rest). Imagine had to refund them in full for those copies. Crumbs. Is that what's called Sale or Return? ...

I saw one of these in, I think, Curry's years ago. It was quite interesting and was playing Defender of the Crown if memory serves. The constant CD access was a bit confusing to me as it was the first time I'd ever seen, let alone used, a CD drive.

Hmm.

Mine used to. But then I started buying cheap and selling high to them. I dumped so much stuff on them that they couldn't unload that they stopped trading in it completely. Its not my fault their prices were stupidly high. £60 they gave me for a green screen CPC464 and a bag of games! Only cost me...

I enjoyed the Activision article and it made me wonder whether we might have more pieces on the history of big names that are still around today and whether they bear any reseblance to the original company, ie Infogrames/Atari or Tulip/Yeahronimo/Commodore? Perhaps some info on how the name's are st...

I think from any era the best bit to remember is at the end of the machine's lives. The 8-bit era excited me greatly, but the truly amazing stuff happened after the machines stopped being produced and the commercial giants moved on. Same with 16/32. Loved my A1200 to bits, but again the truly startl...
