Re: Questions For Jon "Atari, Electric Dreams, Activision" Dean

How was Atarisoft handling the conversions? Just chucking around the name to random developers, or did they have access to sources and original material? Were they independent of the US namesake or was there some co-ordination/co-operation? Was there any code sharing between the different ports? Who...

Re: Questions for Betty 'Quantum' Ryan Tylko

I myself want to hear more about the 7800 that they did. Was the use of a linebuffer established practise already, or did they come up with it? With 20/20 it is glaringly obvious to me that the Amiga should have used a design like that as it would have enabled the disconnect between the image buildu...

Re: When did the paper quality of the magazine get so terrible?

They use paper that I think can't take the ink too well - it gets too saturated by it and becomes more or less "wet". The result is that you get a warping effect to it.

Re: Tracking lateness

I had a bit of a mail day yesterday with #212 and an issue of EDGE among several other things. I think I will have to schedule reading time during Christmas this year to reduce my backlog.

Re: Tracking lateness

Sorting through my 4 months of unreads I noticed that I got EDGE #345 as a very late arrival. That concludes my EDGE deliveries.
Also: My local newsagent has #212 already. Hurry up...

Re: MMORPGs

WoW Ascension. As if the WoW designers didn't take a wrong turn with the 4.x series but had some ...substances.. that widened their perspective. Still, I can find things to censored about, but I wont just yet.

Re: Questions for Reg 'Skramble!' Stevens

I see a recurring theme here... was Scramble a particular favourite? Or Gridder?
There are no production years, but they seem to end rather early on - how come you didn't go on making more games?
(And I'm thinking many were released by 'Super'soft? Was there a From The Archives on them btw?)

Still missing 206, and 210 has the benefit of doubt for a while.
The bad: My newsagent got #210 last week (or earlier).

The good: #206 and #210 arrived today! (And another EDGE too. 346-349)

I've not been home for 7 weeks
Took me 9 in the end.
The score is now 207+209 and three issues of EDGE.

Still missing 206, and 210 has the benefit of doubt for a while.

No sight of 206+207
I've not been home for 7 weeks, but I got a pic of all my mail today and there hasn't been anything delivered from Future during that period...

Editionally: I couldn't avoid noticing the RG web page proudly declare "RETRO GAMER 206 IS ON SALE NOW".
