Anyway, games i've played on the CPC that blow the C64 and Spectrum versions away- Gryzor You are having a laugh mate. A scrolling shooter that doesn't scroll :? The Speccy version is way better (once you get used to the controls). You need to stop deluding yourself, I think that anybody who disput...

stuff Context or not you waded into a topic with the original discussion long since dead and made a load of generalisations and flimsy statements that's just going to wind up people who grew up and loved (and still do) the CPC. Zerocool did exactly the same thing at the start of the topic (and I st...

I just stumbled on this thread from Google and I must say that you guys are being way too lenient. Oh ok .... err why exactly? Despite the abuse, its still a well loved, used and popular retro machine with tons of stuff still being developed for it? 80% of Amstrad games are slow and choppy, it had ...

Thankyou for the goodtimes - I believed.
I believe Mr David Crookes was a contributer to Amstrad Action in its later years, I'm not sure about any other RG staff though.

Hi Darren, I have a spare 6128 and monitor at the moment, it will be going on sale on Ebay eventually but I'm in no rush, needs a replacement drive belt too! (easily sourced) One thing ... is it really a feature on the 6128? Really, I'd much prefer you do an article on the whole Plus range of Amstra...

All on the Amstrad - Shadow Of The Beast Double Dragon II Double Dragon III (well the game never loads the last level or the completion screen? It would be the Egyptian mummy fight, but I'm guessing the programmers thought no-one would ever get or bother to get this far as the conversion is slow bor...

Apparently from the MAME dat the SEGA Mastersystem game was a vertical scroller even though it shared the same story would be interesting to see how that played out. Also note that the Master System version has an option to play in 3D with the Amazing Sega 3D glasses. Perhaps the best of the 3D gam...

Out of interest - how are the carts made as they aren't in production any more obviously :P Is it an existing cart reburned using an EPROM burner? I don't own a Commodore system with cart slot so its not something I'm buying (I totally commend the work and effort though), just interested that's all....

Space Panic is an arcade conversion: http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?game_id=9676 Typically of that time, there were numerous home rip offs that traded under a different name. I even have a VFD handheld that uses similar hole digging gameplay. I think the Amstrad one was called Digger Barnes......
