Re: Why do you buy Retro Gamer?

Good question - and sometimes when its top heavy with Nintendo and Japanese stuff I do wonder. Habit is one reason , I have every issue and have subscribed for a year and a half so want to keep the collection going. Nostalgia - definitely. Why else would you buy a retro mag ? The fact it's the only ...

Re: Retro Gamer Issue 122 Official feedback

Best issue for ages !!! Loved the in depth 3DO feature - More like this please. Seemed much more balanced than has been the case of recent months. Lots if different machines, generations and not leaning to much towards the consoles for the first time in ages . One little niggle is the size of the sc...

About time the Atari 7800 got some love and especially Ninja Golf ... Why hasn't this had a full in depth feature ??

I meant Ninja Golf not the machine .

Would love to see more platform comparisons ... having never played Strider nor really having much of ...

Re: Retro Gamer Issue 120 - Feedback Thread

Overall I think the amount of times Darran has leaped to the magazines defence in this thread (much more than usual) shows that it really isn't the strongest issue . I'm leaping to the defence of the mag because I'm passionate about the work we do and don't like seeing it bashed for no other reason...

Re: Retro Gamer Issue 120 - Feedback Thread

Got to say that I am in agreement with Space Patrol ... It was a pleasant surprise when this months Retro nintendo gamer popped through the door as I hadnt realised it was that time of the month ... However that was until I opened it ... Have you got a new guy doing the covers ? Whilst not uite as b...

Re: Retro Gamer Issue 119 - Feedback Thread

Maybe its time for someone to get this thread back on topic ... Though I must say i thoroughly enjoyed the Jag article (still regret not buying one brand new for £20 from game many years ago ) To me it was fascinating to read about the imploding Atari at the time and the reasoning behind some of the...

Re: Letters

I won't miss it tbh. So, expand Future Classics to 4 pages, proclaim the PS2 to be retro because we all agree on that fact now, sell a shitzillion copies and retire to The Bahamas. TBH I would rather see future classics go altogether as well . Only ever read one of them (Vice city) as I dont tend t...

Re: Retro Gamer Issue 118 - Feedback Thread

My issue arrived a couple of days ago, thanks very much. Will be reading over weekend, but the features I went straight to are the Flashback and Budget games. Flicking through looks the usual quality IMO. Added footnote, joysticks vs pads- Would make a great poll/topic and possible feature debate o...

Re: What hardware doesn't get enough love?

Vic 20 - I think there was just one retroinspection aeons ago Commodore plus 4 - in the c16 retroinspection it said it was worthy of its own inspection. How about all the different atari st models compared in one piece ? Commodore cdtv - virtually ignored. Philips videopac - ditto Amiga 1200 - surel...

Re: About time!

Awesome news and definitely a piece I will devour . Wonder if there will be any mention of the long long delayed Amiga version of Championship Manager 2 that when it finally appeared was a huge disappointment and ran about as fast as a one legged tortoise ? Must have been one of the last ever commer...

Re: Retro Gamer Issue 118 - Feedback Thread

I wasnt looking forward to this months issue as I feared it was going to be a Nintendo fest . However I was pleasantly surprised . Mastertronic article was the first I read and enjoyed it though i agree with the poster who said it could have been more in depth . Actually enjoyed the NES article as w...
