Re: What game have you COMPLETED this week

"Dust An Elysian Tale" on PC / Steam with a very poor 42% - I just played the game straight with no side quests or anything - 7/10. Nice graphics but tedious gameplay, it did draw me in enough to complete it though . . .

Re: What game have you COMPLETED this week

Just finished "the Dig" (albeit with a walkthrough) - pleased I finished it as I started it 20 years ago! However, it was pretty dull and a bit of a chore to play, even with the walkthrough. Walk here, pick this up, back to there to put it in slot etc. That's about as challenging as it got . . . . a...

I really loved the first one and I was really looking forward to see a new Rapture, but I was really disappointed.
Really? damn I just bought it on steam !

Re: Longest gap between buying and playing a game ?

Ah Yes, Unplayed Steam Library - Damn you steam sales !! I played the dig with the aid of a walkthrough - TBH a lot of the puzzles were a bit obtuse and playing it unaided would have taken weeks, when all I really wanted to do was tick it off to say I've seen it. Suppose I could have watched a youtu...

Longest gap between buying and playing a game ?

I just finished the Dig which I actually bought almost 20 years ago as part of a lucas-arts collection ! I played the other games just never got round to finishing the dig - to be fair it was a bit of a drag playing it now but at least I can tick the box!

Can anyone else beat that 20 year gap ?

Help finding a book

can anyone help me identify a book - I think it may have been featured in Retro gamer and it was a lavishly photographed book of vintage computers - i.e. C64, Spectrum Dragon etc. I've seen it before and fancied it and with an upcoming birthday looming it would be an ideal gift for me ! however, can...

Game Timeline

I was just the right age to surf the new craze of computers in the early 80's and as such I can map my gaming timeline via certain key games over the years - My first experience I remember was the Arcade "Galaxians" I loved it. Onto the ZX Spectrum - it was initially Manic Miner and Chequered Flag -...

Re: Ultimate Article

We've done Mire Mare to death. So we weren't going to be revisiting it. We've spoken to the Stampers once, but they've now gone into hiding. As for new revelations, well there was plenty of stuff I hadn't heard before, so it seemed like a pretty good feature to me. I think maybe your expectation le...

Ultimate Article

Maybe **spoilers** ahead so be warned ! Love the cover - in my gaming map - Spectrum Ultimate games still rate as some of my all time fave games - (Atic Atac / Knightlore). Have to say though, slightly dissapointed with the Ultimate Article - "The Untold Story" - ooh I was excited - what new revelat...
