Re: Subs Department Epic Failure

Well done antsbull for not entitling this threat “Epic Fail”. Just wanted to say that. I hate the way that American culture is slowly but surely turning all verbs into nouns, in order to save on syllables.

Re: PlayStation 3 - Retro or not?

No way, Pedro! In fact, could we please remove ALL post-16bit content from the magazine, thanks. Bloomin modern 3D stuff! No!

Right, I'm off to play Rocket League.

Back to the 70's (mid-late 70s starting) would be good
Yes! That would be better than the 00's (and inevitably the 10's 😫). Stick with the Classic Gaming period!

Re: Why do you hate your readers?

The magazine has already done Back to the Eighties and Back to the Nineties. Some complained when it jumped around, so it became a chronological feature. Personally, I don't bother reading Back to the Noughties. I am of that age where that partucular period is of little interest to me. I would MUCH...

Re: The Star Wars thread

Just got drawn into reading some YouTube comments about who likes this Star Wars film, and who hates that Star Wars film. Not a good place to spend any time! ...so I thought I'd dig out this thread. Anyway it seems a surprising amount of people (with little understanding of grammar and punctuation) ...

Re: Jean-Michel Jarre - Equinoxe Infinity - Out November 16th

Wow. Didn't know about this. Equinoxe is my favourite Jarre album. Don't really like his post 90's stuff except for Oxygene vol3, which really grew on me. Think I'll have to get this!

Re: From The Forum issue 187 - Favourite SNK game

I would have to choose one of the Metal Slug games. Probably MS3 because it was a bit different to the others. I understand some people disliked it for that reason, but not me.

Re: Xbox One Mouse And Keyboard Support: The Potential

Personally, I like console gaming mainly because it DOESN'T use a mouse and keyboard. Sitting at a desk with a mouse and keyboard feels a bit too much like being at work for me, these days. Each to their own, I suppose...

Re: 30 Years! Atari ST from Evesham Micros.

My first ST was a new one, it came with a huge game bundle of about 20-30 games (think it was called the 'Power Pack') which comprised mainly of 8 bit games which had been updated to 16bit. Was a great machine, and I loved it until I saw that some of the newer games (particularyly from the likes of...

Also found his on YouTube about the Power Pack, which looked much better than the Summer Pack. Oh well:

I also thoroughly recommend the two books from Microzeit - Breakin' The Borders and Beyond the Borders, I have reviewed both on You Tube if you want a closer, just click the text links.
Thanks, will take a look.

Re: 30 Years! Atari ST from Evesham Micros.

In relation to you mentioning the ST demo scene, the BIG demo was from a group under the name of "TEX a.k.a. the Exceptions" remade a selection of c64 tunes a 125 of them excluding the digital department of the demo, most store ran demos like the "Snowman demo" or the microdeal demo under the "Micr...

30 Years! Atari ST from Evesham Micros.

I have just realised it was 30 years ago this month that I got my Atari ST. Blimey! After pestering my dad into submission – convincing him that I HAD to upgrade from my Spectrum 128 to the amazingly good value Atari ST “Summer Pack”, he drove the 15 year old me to Evesham Micros, somewhere on Persh...

Playing on an actual upright arcade machine, in the family room of a pub, somewhere near Llansteffan, whilst on holiday in 1980, aged seven. This was also the first arcade machine I ever played on.
