Re: Retro Gamer Issue 109 Official Feedback

Must have been just me then! I was a QAOP and space bar guy so the speccy key configuration with all the keys on one row seemed a right pain. I don't recall this being as much an issue in the isometric games but they still could have been better. Never allowed you to redo the keys.

Re: Retro Gamer Issue 109 Official Feedback

Loved the Ultimate retrospective. I was trying to explain to my 10 year old son what made them great and then in the telling remembered how awful their bloody keyboard controls were. What was with that? The games would have been 50% less difficult if the keys weren't qwerty most of the time. That wa...

Glorkian Warrior! New retro feel game

Indie comic supremo James Kochalka has been working with Pixeljam to make a cool retro game to his specifications. Looks great so far. Kochalka is a very interesting guy so it would be great if Retrogamer could do a feature on this game and his love of classic games. Here is a preview. http://www.yo...

Like a digital psychogeography. Someone should ...

Re: Batty and Ultimate connection

How weird. I guess my mate had a hunch at the time. I think it was the graphics of the little rockets on the bat that reminded us of that ultimate shiny look.

Oni by Bungie

Is this old enough to qualify for Retrogamer? I picked this up cheap on my Mac years ago and then found there is a fan community still going which rather sadly revolves around fantasising about a sequal being made by either fans or professional developers (fat chance). Anyone else have affection for...

Batty and Ultimate connection

Reading the new issue about Mire Mare I was reminded that back in the day when Batty came out on a cover cassette a friend said it was porgrammed by ex ultimate people. Either he read this somewhere or he was a very astute judge of the programmers finger prints on the game. So interested to see form...
