Illuminati 2.0

I was reading old issues of the magazine and there was this two-part feature about the obscure world of the collectors of unreleased games and prototypes with CIA-levels of security. It was very interesting, but since many years have passed (it was 2005, I think), I wonder how things have changed......

Frostbite - because it's the one game I'm brilliant at! It also happens to be a crazy addictive game with a superb learning curve - plus magic fish!
I agree. I was to answer "Beamrider" but Frostbite was more addictive.

Re: Retro Gamer Issue 162

Still waitin' for the issue. Any other international subscriber had a delay ? :( I do. This issue has been in the newsagents for weeks now. I'm not impressed. I have received issue #163 today, no news about the previous one. I blame the local mail service as it was in the news that the mail storage...

Re: Reader feedback wanted

I'd love to see a monthly feature about arcade obscurities from the early 80s/late 70s.

Re: From the forum issue 147 - Favourite gory games

I'd say the first three Resident Evil but I remember being impressed, as a kid, by a head being sawed in a Speccy game (maybe Go to Hell ?)

so many coins spent on Bosconian, Espial, Time Pilot and Megazone...but if I have to choose one, it would probably be Galaga.

Re: Discuss Time! Issue 141 Your first gaming purchase

not considering the pirate cassettes that were sold at the newsstand and that made 99% of the software available in Italy at the time, I bought Robon, a Berzerk clone for the Speccy which was not bad.

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 135

I loved the Minority Report of Creativision games...I think that the mag should cover more often those lesser known systems (and we're still waitin' for a TI99 retroinspection), and I'm happy to see that Microvision will be covered in next issue.

Re: Issue 134

just two things: could the spider-related game in the letter page be Scorpion ? I remember there were insects spinning webs and it was an horizontal shooter. And, that "Commandy the last boy on earth" was actually "Kamandi the last boy on earth" by the King of Comics Jack Kirby. Here's a video of Sc...

Re: Issue 133

Finally read this issue. Oh, so many happy memories of Saboteur sprung to mind. The sequel, I didn't like it. It's been a while since I last played it but I seem to remember it was slower and less funny than the first. Back to the eighties is gone, ok, but what about the Unconverted ? I love it when...
